Tell him to go check out the forums I mentioned above first. People don't necessarily sell 2nd or 3rd hand ones. Some people get brand new ipods as gifts but have no use for it and try to sell them fast at below the market price. Some people manage to get their hands on a supply of brand new ones and wish to clear stock. Or go sim lim square see can bargain for a lower price loh.

i heard shops in NUS,NTU also sell cheap cheap Ipod. about 10-20% cheaper than market price, like buying laptop at student rate.
