PC Virus???

Ok I have a problem here. My pc has more then enough memory but I keep getting the Disk Cleanup msg because the PC is running low on memory. I suspect there may be a virus/trojan/worm because I have been receiving some emails about virus detected in my mail.
Problem is, I have run a scan using Norton, Avast, Trendmicro and BitDefender but everything comes up with 0 virus detected.
Anyone can help to narrow down the problem?

spyware maybe?
use adaware and spybot. both are freewares. -

So what does that tell me?
I have both! -
Your next step is to run windows in safe mode and run whatever spyware/adware app you have. It can't clean up properly with all those nasty things running in the background yeah? And you don't even know which ones.

If you're super sure you never sent the mail, its not you. I'm very certain also, because I get mail that replies me that I have sent a virus when I don't have their email addresses to begin with.Originally posted by elindra:It is both web-based and non-web based

Disk Cleanup is usually invoked for lack for disk space, not memory. Are you sure its not the other?
