SATA HD

  I've got a SATA HD connected.
  
  Got a few questions :
  
  How do I make it the master HD? Its read at the 3rd HD. It comes in after the master HD and my dvd drive.
  
  And how come when I use my master HD's OS. The SATA HD is read as an external component? I've got the "Remove hardware" button on the bottom right, same ones I have when I connect my USB stuff.
  
  Right now the wires connected to my SATA HD are, power... ehhh a big one and small one.

  u usin sata + pata together??

  PATA is the one where the male and female are pins right?
  
  My master HD is that.
  
  I went into bios, my sata is always 3rd.

  i assume u wanna make the SATA drive as the main drive
  u can try to disconnect the other PATA drives 1st
  then see wat ur com gives you
  
  seriously it`s ALL abt the tweaking of th bios
  if it can work can a normal drive
  then it must be the bios
  
  if u`re more daring u may try visit the board maker`s
  webby to see if ur bios can update or not??

  the SATA just keeps reading as the 3rd...
  
  I have no idea what's happening now.

  like tt ah...
  i tin k perhaps ur bios need some updating
  or ur mboard don sarport sata as master
  
  it there`s any possible way i only know how to do it via bios
  
  i`m sry my knowledge is limited here

  ok i'm back!!!
  
  I've set my SATA as my D:
  
  the problem now is, because I tried installing windows in my D:
  
  now the pc thinks I have 2 OS. Everytime I start, the PC wants me to choose.
  
  I've formatted the HD already, how come it still thinks I have 2 OS????

  ermmm.. u plug your SATA drive to which SATA port? I presume your mobo can support more than 2 SATA drives....... that's why u plug into the 3rd port, your bios reads it as a 3rd drive... (pls correct if i'm wrong )
