What if

instead of green light, my CD burner shows an orange light?
What does it mean? -
Not enough amps going thru to make it turn green?

I know if it flickers rapidly on and off during read. Its most probably a cyclic redundancy error. Some cd-rom drives do their own dignostics and self check and display some other colour led to signal its user. If it works fine, I wouldn't be too concerned about the colour of my cd-rom led.
