Viggo Mortensen
LOS ANGELES - American actor Viggo Mortensen will team up again with Canadian director David Cronenberg, who directed him in "A History of Violence," for an action flick set in London, the entertainment press reported Tuesday.
Mortensen, 47, also known for his role in Peter Jackson's "Lord of the Rings" trilogy, will play a business man caught up in an affair of vengeance involving the Russian mafia and a nurse investigating the death of a prostitute, Variety said.
The film, "Eastern Promises," is to be produced by Focus Features, an offshoot of Universal that also financed "The Secret of Broke Back Mountain".
Cronenberg also directed "Spider" (2002) and "Crash" (1996).
