Love is subjective . It can be wrong OR right. Because there is no clear answer or evidence.
So loving someone can be wrong. Loving someone can be right.
Subjective
So like u said above, meaning the people who "felt" and "experienced" it will be true to them....?

I dun think its ONLY about the bible....my christian frens have true happiness and experienced "God" the Holy Spirit actually working in their lives....I believe they have found true happiness...and I'm happy for them....as for me, I'm a buddhist and I'm happily and peacefully living my life too !

You can trust science and medicine but not the Christian Bible that provided the rational basis for modern science? You really need to read more instead of spending your time trying to whack Christianity.

LOL. "Christian Bible that provided the rational basis for modern science"
Please prove that. From what I know, christians a few hundred years ago refuse to be cremated because they were scared they couldnt be raptured.
I dont get how the bible is scientific. Previously I have pointed out to you some un-scientific stuff in it.
Like I always say, its ok for you to believe in it as "faith" and as a "belief" but dont push the contents as scientific or factual. Even the catholic church has acknowledged that the bible isnt 100% scientific.

No I didnt say that.
I say people who feel or experience , it might not be true still
That is why love and feelings are subjective.
You mean love is always correct?
If love is not always correct, then its subjective.
But for 1+1=2, it is not a viewpoint and it is not subjective. It is a fact.
An opinion/viewpoint becomes a fact when you have evidence to back it up.
Similarly reincarnation is also a viewpoint/belief as long as theres no evidence. But if one day ther is evidence, reincarnation becomes a fact. :)

Tcmc,
Your lack of knowledge is showing again. You need to read more. Our national library have books on how the Bible has been largely influential in many ways. If you need some references because you are just too lazy to find out, let me know ya?

You have not addressed the un-scientific points I pointed out previously.

So according to you if there's no afterlife or reincarnation, meaning your life ends when you die ? And there's no proof of Karma also...meaning you have no consequences how you live your life meh? Do you believe in Karma even you have not experienced it? Meaning action/reaction in science point of view....reap what you sow (Bible)...?

Karma is a logical thing. You do unto others what you want others to do unto you. It is not a "supernatural force".
Of course the things we do got consequences. But not because of some "supernatural force".
Practically speaking, karma is real, but not in the supernatural sense.
Yes no afterlife. Unless you can show me why the buddhist afterlife is more "valid" than the christian/hindu/sikh after life?

Since majority of the people will not remember their former lives....its not important to many....the present life is more important....

Whether we have a former life, thats subjevctive, like how whether there is a christian heaven only is subjective. :)
Its a belief and i respect it.
Yea agreed. Present life is very important
We only live 60 to 70 years

Need me to point out the unscientific stuff inside your Book? Or is it better that you google it yourself and check with your own Book at home?

According to you, why do people have sufferings in the world? Do you have any unanswered questions about life that can't be explained by modern science or logic ?
If our dreams comes true, are that considered supernatural? How about people with ESP ? Supernatural too?

Sufferings?
Diseases, disasters. Yea its all part of the natural world. EVen animals "suffer" from diseases every day. A human being dies every second, That is 60 dead people in 1 minute.
Of course from a philosophical POV, sufferings make us stronger. BUt sufferings are not because of some supernatural force. Got to look at it case by case.
If its accident, then its human error. If its disasters, it cannot be prevented. etc.
Yes I have told BIC before that no scientists (or myself) knows what caused the big bang exactly although there are many theories and attempts to reproduce the the situation prior to the big bang.
There are so many things we dont know. You and I also dont know if there are Elves or Fairies beyond our universe, but for now we jus conclude there arent because of lack of evidence :)
So u believe the theory of the big bang ? Therefore u also believe that the universe is everlasting ? Before this universe, there is another older universe ?

Yes the theory of big bang is well supported.
I dont think the universe is everlasting though.
I am not sure about an older universe. Scientists are also not sure.
Do you know?

From a buddhist perspective, before the current universe, there are countless older universes....therefore there is no true beginning or ending...life is continuous....the end of one event is the beginning of a new event....etc.

Are you saying the universe is everlasting or always been there?
Originally posted by Tcmc:Are you saying the universe is everlasting or always been there?
The universe is everchanging....just like the cells in our body...the universe is that huge....the end of one universe will lead to the formation of another...so technically speaking its everlasting....it may not be the same universe, but a totally new one....

Ok.
In buddhism, it doesnt teach a creator right?
Also, is buddha a deity?
Why do some buddhists view buddha as a deity and some not?

Yeap...in Mahayana buddhism there's no One Powerful creator...
Who is the buddha? U may read it in wikipedia...there are different views...even among buddhists....
There are many types and schools of buddhism, each has different perspective and practice....I cannot be too general in definitions....you may go wikipedia and search for some references there...
Better still, go to the buddhism forum and ask your difficult questions there....there are many experts there...
