My friend said that 358 from 15 buses with 358P withdrawal there will be 10 buses added... Dk whether to believe or not. If it is true i think can forget about taking 358 already. Slow like turtle even my grandmother might be able to walk faster (just saying)

That was what i heard also..7 buses with 3-4 given to 307A and the rest to 307... but then have to wait till Sept 1 then we can confirm :)

ya lo..something like the former 307S201 will be good.. AM part end shift around 9am then 130pm start PM shift end around 7 plus iirc...
The last bus that did this shift before the duty was removed was TIB738M haha!
Am seriously waiting for what's happening on 1st September

I think 307A operating hours are just nice. During the dismissal hours, the crowd only lasts for about less than 1 hour? During different days la i mean. Don't think LTA/PTO would wanna waste resources

hmm not really leh..coz different school also end different time.. probably 130pm is too early but i feel 330pm like that start 307A seems to be better... HAHA!

From what I see that school at Blk 765 dismiss around 2.30pm, 330 a little too late ba.. somemore its nearing 4pm n 307 loading is really low this time

HAHA! We shall see bah..hopefully the extra buses deployed to 307 (if rumour is true) will help the load at that time bah..
I also heard the headway will be 4 mins per bus dring peak

Best solution is actually to just deploy bendies for half the fleet... Bendy SD Bendy SD pattern during off peak would be better. Perhaps won't even need 307P/A

What's that?

Don't worry,12 buses for 358 incl peak hours,14 buses for 359 incl peak hours..Crossover from other svc.Origin 358 and 359 only 9 & 11 respectively under GA.
Plannings:Svc 2 might be full DD,Svc 3 convert 2 SD-DD
Svc 12:Convert 3 SD to DD,15 convert 2 split to full day
34:Add 1 SD,62 convert 2 SD to DD,118 add 1 DD,136 perm 2 split DD
518 add 1 full day DD
43M might use all SDs and the DDs will goes to 43 instead..
Recall from this:
The "packaging" of bus routes still made it much more rigid to move services around or adjust their routes (due to the service group (?) or depots being somewhat fixed). Hence I feel it would be unlikely to see breakup of long services such as 14, 51 or 61
Anyway, based on the Annex (and other sources):
Grand total of 16 planned new services.
I bet 323 (Hougang feeder) is coming too as what gekpohboy said

Anyway, based on the Annex (and other sources):
- SBS:
- - 3 new routes in Hougang / Sengkang, including at least one Sengkang feeder (373?) to Anchorvale Cres and/or Sengkang West
- - 1 new route in Bedok. Probably linking either Chai Chee or Bedok South to some DTL station.
- - 2 new routes in Jurong West.
- - 3 new routes in Tampines. Should be mostly serving Tampines North. Not including 68 as it is under GAG.
- - 1 new route in Serangoon / Eunos. Probably the first of the Bidadari services?
- SMRT:
- - 1 new route in Sembawang / Yishun. Almost definitely the feeder/trunk serving Canberra Estate.
- Go-Ahead:
- - 1 new route (68).
- Seletar Package:
- - 2 new routes near Yishun / Lentor / YCK / AMK.
- Other:
- - 2 city direct services in Sengkang & Hougang.
Grand total of 16 planned new services.
There is no need to break up so many long-distance services (14, 51, 61, 63, 67, 858) as these may screw up everybody and inconvenience commuters.
Hence, commuting access from Kampong Bahru to Alexandra Hospital or Mountbatten/East Coast to Orchard will be affected.
Hougang: One new route next year, around Upper Serangoon Road and Buangkok Crescent.
Jurong West: One new route next year, around Boon Lay Avenue and Yung Kuang Road.
Trust me.
Serangoon-Eunos might just be a short trunk.Maybe start from a terminal looping at Industrial area supplement a trunk svc.
2 new routes in the Jurong West package may be for Tuas industrial area, possibly to cover more parts of Tuas South and/or to provide better connections to the Tuas West Extension MRT stns.
I think the breaking up of long trunk svcs is still possible. The LTA press release refers to "new routes" rather than "new services", so some of these could be from the splitting of existing services rather than entirely new svcs.
I also wondered, since the Bukit Merah package expires in 2 years, and ARBP is likely to close down to further develop Mediapolis, where will the route package be based after that? If the routes would be transferred to Ulu Pandan depot I forsee lots of dead mileage, unless LTA can build a new depot near ARBP so quickly, or ARBP isn't closed down.

Tuas MRT opening will have bus route amendments.
Trust me.

Open first then say...till now there is no opening date announced...as with more recent station openings, they open on weekends...so there might be a chance it opens on before/on/after Christmas
