Not to forget TT taking over a few JE Svc

Having said that.. I walk the talk.. I take buses... I observe loading of buses across the island.. and hence I have a decent idea on the loading patterns.
Go to the loading level of buses thread and you will see what I mean.
I don't know how you can justify massive spamming of rigids on high loading services.. but everyone is entitled to their point of view...
Cheers!
I'm not nitpicking but rather as a commuter, There are alot of ways that I can get to that stretch of road JW/E ave 1 rather than to take 187 at lakeside, which is not really a 'must'.
187 isn't the only service that goes past there, There is still 99 157 185 198 and E502 there from Boon Lay and SLBP to lighten the load, 98 from JE/JI and 49 (just that it turns left) from JE int to help out too so in a sense 187 isn't that isolated with the load demand.
187 getting DDs is not really a must, unless something drastic happens.
Different people different view. Some people prefer to take SMRT over SBST buses,Same case like 25/854

Service 46 is 4SDs & 3DDs I presume?

So far LTA has introduced about 40 Trunk/Express (including 68) and 22 CDS routes (including two more upcoming ones in Q3).
Trunk/Express:4,20,41,46,47,50,68,102,116,117,118,120,121,122,134,140,141,150,201,

CDS: 651-670, +2 new services
So there are still about 18 more services LTA has yet to introduce to fulfill its promise of 80 new bus routes by end of 2017. I don't know how DTL rationalisation is going to factor in, if the 80 new services will also include new routes born out of chopping up bus routes during the excercise. Or LTA might only start rationalising bus services in late 2017 or early 2018 once DTL3 has settled in. So, assuming it's the latter, this is my prediction.
CDS has been maxed out. LTA said in its previous press statements that they'll introduce about 20 such services. They've exceeded that already. You might see one or two more services in 1H2017. So, I'm assuming about 12-16 new routes until end 2017. These are just some of my predictions/musings.
137 - Sims Pl > Ubi
152 - Brother of 150, will start from Eunos and probably loop at Kaki Bukit Industrial Estate
44 - UEC > Bedok North > Chai Chee
37x - New Fernvale feeder
110 - UEC > CBP > Pasir Ris
104 & 114 - New Sengkang services
164 - New AMK service (I suspect AMK>AMK St 22/23 BTO> Upp Thomson > looping at Bishan). LTA will have to build a traffic junction at St 22/Av 1
71/97x - BPJ > NTU > Joo Koon
807 - New Yishun feeder
146/148/149 - New Whampoa service plying Jln Rajah and possibly looping at Potong Pasir

From the post below yours, seems like 3SDs, 4DDs... just like sv 41.

I didn't know about that. Maybe I feedbacked and asked LTA to divert 26 to boost efficiency. The route is long winding. I dunno about 67. 67 got to wait later.
1 end on berth for 46 at Tamp int beside svc 23.

I would think that svc 1 is either for Changi V or Tampines North.Svc 44 might be for Punggol or Changi Business Park.Svc 71 might be for Tampines or YCK or even Buona Vista depending on the bus package.104 & 108 might be for Buangkok Int of Hougang Int.110 might be for Marina svc or even Sengkang.114 most probably Hougang.137 might be Punggol or Eunos.144 might be Jurong East.146,148,149 for Woodleigh and 152 might be for Eunos should 154 face the fate like 76.
The last few trips of service 79 for the day that leaves Jurong East Interchange and ends at Boon Lay Interchange is now known as SWT 79A.
Svc 46 DDs got a few standees from Tampines St 83 to Int..Kapo Svc 291 loads?

Hi mr carbikebus, good. Tampines st 83 is poorly connected before sbs 46 comes into the picture today. Cheers. Thanks.

I think because 291 today got majority SDs thats why,Weekdays frequencies is good with more DDs
fleet in terms of order of arrival:
3839>1100>3788>3818>8429>5551>8479
7 buses means frequency would be around 14-17 mins. Similar to sv 41 whose frequency is around 13-17 mins as well.

So basically 46 DDs will leave empty from interchange to st 83 as the berth is far away from 291/293.
In such a case I prefer if 46 rather just extend to Pasir Ris. At least will provide connectivity b/w Pasir Ris and Tampines West town.

12-15min
service 46 is not WAB
no WAB logo at SBST timetable

share with 23?
just a coincidental that 2 numbers are related (23 x 2)
Ok but observed frequency will be 15-18 mins then during peak hours because the buses take a lot of time to get in/out of the interchange/traffic light along ave 5.
Off-peak no problem will stick to 12-15 min.
