SMRT should have asked for the SG-plated Wrights.

Hahahaha,LTA will do that.LTA already give some of the A22,A95 and E500 so its not impossible for GA to get some K230UB Euro V from SBST also.
902 shld just scrap better. Waste time queueing, waste money and spoonfeeding students who are lazy to walk some 1km to school in 15 mins.
I always walked to school and back to school to interchange during my poly days. Now also the same.
The proportion of students walking to school outweigh the people who takes bus like 902,169,903.
The main reason people take 902 is they are lazy to walk to school under the hot sun. The only legitimate reason i can accept is if they have heavy bags which can be handled with a taxi.
I know coz i was a student there and i graduated 2 years before WTBI opens and WRI is even further to walk from RP esp for 168/161 berth.
But the students didnt whammer, they still walk to n fro school despite distance.
WTBI opens, it is even closer to RP. Just walk lah, cut 5 mins samore from the old interchange. 161/168 is even closer now to RP. the alighting berth.
Dont need downroute or full day one lah. Dont spoonfeed the students seriously, it will make them weaker and lazy.
Maybe can extend to Woodlands Ind Park and loop back?
902 is my choice to RP then but only when it rains. on other days i walk from my home in Woodlands to RP in mornings and back in the afternoon.
i wonder who suggest to extend 161 and 168 to RP.
further more, now RP has pick-up point in Sengkang and Tampines.

I agree it is a bus trip for rainy day and also an alternative for Svc 169... I would suggest Svc 161/Svc 168 stop at the bus stop along Ave 2 (Opp Blk 802)

Now students all pampered lah... But it is also up to their choice whether to take bus or walk to school... IMO, the purpose of Svc 902 being introduce is to relief Svc 169 because students in the past complain the bus waiting too long and also sometimes cannot even board the bus...
Nowadays, I also prefer to take Svc 902 to RP. Svc 169 always make my blood boils when a rigid come or a DD come but then aft that move off when there are seating space on the upper deck... Or even best, the bus waiting time is longer after the previous bus left.
Originally posted by BusAnalayzer:964 is doing superb now. Frequency of 03 mins - how much better can you get?
169 also doing okay now. Got too many buses and good frequency between 06-08 mins during peak hours. What 169 needs is not fleet add anymore but SD->DD/Bendy conversion.
902 always has been bad. In fact, I am always surprised that it does not have PM downroutes. How do the students even manage just with 169 back to interchange in PM??
169 doing okay... I guess I want to vomit blood... Sorry to day but not for me...
PM peak, students either walk to the interchange or walk to Blk 803 bus stop and take 903. Students dun prefer to take 911 becoz of the winding route in St 81.

Svc 964 is the most pampered service... I very pissed off whereby the bus tend to be half full and the passengers just wait for the next one because they want to have a seat in the bus...
I should suggest half of the fleet go to Svc 169...

To be exact, I find it strange that 169's frequency at Woodlands Avenue 9 in the direction towards Woodlands Interchange is really bad on Thursdays...when one bus at around 7.50am leaves the bus stop, it takes 24 minutes for two buses to come...

Maybe u shld try walking to school instead, trust me, it will be faster, more efficient, can reach school faster and less unpredictable due to no congestion from any vehicular traffic.

Walked before.. but still prefer the bus...

just because of that few people, make 161 and 168 stop there? i would say no.
Is the road leading to RP accessible for 12m buses? If Yes can suggest to LTA to amend 902 there.

If you mean the Drop off point, all charted buses for visits can go in ah... Maybe not for the bendies I guess...

i had seen coaches entering RP, Rigids have no problem but no DD or bendies.

But bendies may be a thing of the past after 2017 so don't worry. SMRT will keesiao de-register all the non-WAB bendies aimlessly and randomly when more double decker buses are delivered to all routes, especially the Sungei Seletar GCM. By the time Woodlands North Interchange open only 40 bendies will be present, just nice for the remaining sector (Choa Chu Kang - 20 bendies, Bukit Panjang, Woodlands - 20 bendies, Sembawang).
DDs not enough #NowIsNotTheTime
the last thing is spamming 902 with 45 rigids (all A22) #YouDontCB
902 if can enter there can just use 5 rigids..At least there is 70 paxs inside a bus rather than they wait for 169.
...
oh my what did i read..

There is demand on 964 bro. Otherwise stingy SMRT would not deploy so many high capacity buses. I went there 2-3 times last 2 weeks. Though I was in car could observe DDs/bendies every 03 mins picking up 80-100 pax. Upper deck/lower deck both full. Bendies also.
169 number of buses is okay. I said before it needs more HC buses, not more A22s.

It benefits commuters who wants to ride 964 from Opp Admiralty Stn..
Let's say if all of the passengers boarded the bus at Woodlands Int, there's a possibility that passengers at the next few stops can't board it too..
902 is a waste of SMRT's resources, a waste of space at a cramped interchange and a wasted opportunity to eradicate physical laziness from youths.
