if you noticed, the 975B poster does not have the BSEP logo, why does the 979M poster have it then??

979 is under BSEP hence the BSEP logo on 979M.
SMRT does not use M suffix for such modification, instead uses C for Sunday & PH routes (853/C, 925/C, 961/C) or as per "short working trips" or alternative routes (859/A/B, 700/A). These suffix do not appear on EDS at all for the former.

Hi mr SMB3163D, answer is very simple. When launched initially, 979 is a BSEP service. So the 'M' variant will have it. 975 is not a BSEP service. So 975B will not have the logo. Cheers. Thanks.

I find it quite fasinating that SMRT is introducing so many suffix services and still "shortage of service captains"... I would suggest that SMRT should outsource the service captains to SBST where they have a larger pool of manpower (like the other time where the drivers boycott the company)
The hard truth and fact is: SMRT has absolutely no right to engineer further excuses for their shortage of bus captains, look at Woodlands TBI (and possibly their other interchanges as well), bus captains including chief and senior ones (!) have been reduced to doing menial tasks such as doing bus surveys at the interchange, directing movement of buses around the interchange and shunting the buses, instead of actually driving or training other drivers.
In other words, they have made the problem worse for themselves.

Yeah, I agree... Thats why so many buses are left sleeping in the depot...

They rely on new Malaysian and Chinese BCs,Thats why i despise those untouchable attitude from both SBST and SMRT senior BCs..
Suspected fleet: 2/3 A22s
Should just use 303 for feeder,308 might he mistaken as Intratown,Lol!!
Predict 3 A22 duty AM/PM01 & 02 and probably 1 S01
Remember that time I wrote a list of HDB flats that will be completed from Q2 this year to Q4 next year, and said that there will be new bus services in tandem with their completion?
I may be right. :)
This new feeder 308 is obviously going to happen sooner or later, as new HDB flats are completed in Choa Chu Kang. Just like 805 in Yishun.
Up next may be areas like Woodlands, Sembawang, Yishun, Hougang, Punggol...

Hi mr Ajen, they won't. Route is different. 979M is just temporary. It will be gone and incorporated into 979 later. This is already made known even before 979M is introduced. Cheers. Thanks.
