I think Service 61, besides I sent feedback that they need cutting. The resettling of residents in Commonwealth to Buangkok, Tanglin Halt, Bukit Batok West, Bedok South or Telok Blangah helps.

Hi mr TPS Timothy Mok, yes this service 61 needs some trimming back and also introduce another service to take up the route which was trimmed back. This end to end journey takes more than 2 hrs 10 min and is really too long in today's context. However, any amendment may incur huge uproars just like sbs 76/134. We shall wait for any news from you regarding the authorities answers. Cheers. Thanks.
All, latest round of BSEP for Q2 2016 is announced. Implementation date is 24 April 2016. Affected services are sbs 117 and sbs 386, both Punggol bus services.
1. Sbs 117 is amended to ply west camp road instead of seletar west link. This provides coverage to youth flying club and ST airport services.
2. Sbs 386 is extended further up to edgedale plains end, with the same type of loop at 2 bus stops (1 stop going to Punggol mrt, 1 stop to Punggol east). It will continue to loop at Punggol east/central (Blk 162B bus stop) and serve all other bus stops. This will benefit waterway view and sundew residents.
Cheers. Thanks.

Hi mr SBS9256X, 100% confirmed. The posters are out at Punggol bus interchange. I have also taken pictures but don't know how to upload here after so long in this forum. Cheers. Thanks.

Hi mr sbs6853S, yes better late than never. Good move for sbs 117 to go there. Good move for sbs 386 to go to edgedale plains end then back to Punggol field (plaza) and loop around Punggol east/central. Means it will serve 2 loops (1 inside edgefield plains and 1 inside edgedale plains). See they will still continue to serve bus stop outside horizon and greendale primary.
Both edgefield and edgedale will have alternative to go to Punggol mrt on one side and also go to Punggol plaza on another side. Good move. Benefit more people. 1 big disadvantage will be a longer loop. Cheers. Thanks.

just afraid that horizon and greendale students may be late on the first day if unaware of the new loops

Hi mr sbs6853S, 1 more additional loop inside and come out will take an additional 3-4 min. Not too bad but naturally all have to adapt to the new situation given that the additional stop will benefit thousands of HDB units inside. Cheers. Thanks.

Coz it is a developing estate... Other ares are developed estate which has good bus network and walking distance to MRT Station/Bus Interchange... (I may be wrong)
So nt that urgent at the moment. Punggol so many flats building up and also so many working young adults staying there, gather feedback and make the move to amend/intro new services.

386 looks very messy. It's another case of 42 - in & out loop that passengers must endure. And you would need to endure it twice in both directions.
As for 117, can't people just walk out? Build an overhead bridge or put a crosswalk if needed.

Hi mr sbs6465E, 1 loop in = 1 additional bus stop = 3-4 min. Not extremely bad until you think that way.
For edgefield residents, clear cut and not much of issue. Whatever bus comes in, straight from mrt to home and home to mrt. If go Punggol east, 1 additional stop (edgedale plains end) to go.
For edgedale residents, no choice. Need endure 1 loop before it goes to their house from mrt. This is due to it being further out. If go to Punggol east, clear cut.
Something just needs to be compromised due to the road structure.
1 item I will like to highlight is that the authorities realize the importance of the need to connect both edgefield plains and edgedale plains to Punggol plaza/field/east/central. Last time, it was only edgefield plains end. Now edgedale plains end also get connected. This shows that this linkage section is highly valued and will not be taken out. Have they intended to take out, they will have done it this time round. Instead they doubled the connection. Hip hip hooray. Cheers. Thanks.

Hi mr sbs9256X, I have thought that the next wave of BSEP for Q2 2016 will not include Punggol as the interchange is currently being expanded and there are no more space to squeeze in. Never expect them to come out amendments and treat as BSEP. Moreover, not 1 but 2. Cheers. Thanks.
