Adding DDs will do. No need upgrade.
Till now, Service 913 still running with SDs eventhough there are 2 BTOs built in Marsiling area, creating bus bunching and inconvenience especially during AM Peak ...

858 too many commuters rely on it going Airport from TPE bus stop,Either LTA have to introduce a new compliment service from TPE-Airport sector or make the frequencies haywire until pax don't favour 858 anymore.

858 is okay. No one will contest. It needs full fleet bendy IMO with 25 bendies.

969 also another joke,For a service running at 60-65 mins per direction,They deploy 28-29 buses excluding crossovers resulting in BCs crawling at 35-45kmh on highways..Although I don't really like GA,But again their planning is much better than SMRT hands down.
965 from 12,13,15,16 to 18-19 buses also resulted BCs crawling at TPE and Sengkang..Some even stay at bus stops with pax on board,What the heck is this?972 another joker...963 now also running very slow with added buses.

That is why SMRT should focus on running trains and not do any bus business. They should get their primary train business in good order first before they diversify.

Train also got so many problem la my friend.Anyone can do business with proper plannings and mind you they are not a newbird in Singapore.I don't really understand why SBST and SMRT BCs too afraid of the BOCC and DDU?Passenger safety and comfort is more priority than those stupid regulations..It ain't easy driving in SG roads for a start and why make yourself more stressful?

I think both GA/SMRT are not doing a good job. GA deploying all DDs on 83/85 to me is such a waste.
Agree on your point on 969. It is because they still deploy so many rigids for a service that should be strictly full fleet DD.

Its LTA that want 83 and 119 to have more DDs for your info..If I'm driving one of these service,I purposely take a SD and prove to them,Even 43M i dare to use SD..I don't give a hoot nowadays..Even BOCC instructed me not to speed i also speed when needed..Peak hours with many pax going to work you expect us to stop at bus stops for 4 mins?We are European based company not SBST/SMRT..Someone need to turn the table.

Yes exactly their own house ancestral business for train also mismanaged, they shud get that in order first. They should not bid for anymore bus packages and just focus on getting their train business right first.

Going by your logic if 969 is a full fleet DDs, what about other services that needs DD the most are they going to suffer because of the lack of DDs?
969 after a 'certain timing' should be able to give and take if you do not want to squeeze that's your business because you insist on having a seat more than anything else.
DDs should be distributed in moderation and not because of 'personal preferences' with the exception of 972.
Agree. Its not all the time that the DDs would be used well like now

I'm keen to find out why 972 would be an exception to your "DDs should be distributed in moderation" rule?

Since SMRT is now running B9TLs perhaps they should trade their SG-plated Citaros with B9TLs from Go Ahead instead, since services like 83 don't need DDs ...
