It looks very much like SMRT is going back to the days before Saw. The ex-LG is bringing back SAF personnel to kick some sense into the system.
Better than sticking to what Saw did mah......at least the management, which everybody had long identified as the problem, is being reshuffled.
Fare increase next year.
Huat ah.
I don't like the idea of SMRT run by ex-military commanders. I hope someone from outside government can brought in and run SMRT. Who know what going in the SMRT bringing control by ex-military personal???? No wonder why SMRT buy MAN buses, MAN reseller from ST whch belong to SAF, and now SMRT also run by military in directly too bad.

Be prepared to be shocked when you find out who have been running most of the GLCs and stat boards...and even private companies.

The papers state that the SBST BCs will temporary drive SMRTB short haul services. I suspect 860 might be one of them.
It would be better for the long term for some SMRTB services transfer to SBST, like 106,190, 851, 857, 960.

It is possible. It only depends on whether they want to do it or not. Let SMRTB to continue hogging on these services will only do the public more harm than good. Of course, this cannot be done overnight.
