She pierce and then the pierced area will swell the next day. She removes and it recovers.
She tries again...this time the swelling became worse the nextday untill her earring was 'swallowed' by the swelling. Go see doctor, remove the earrings, and gave up the idea for good.

Quite true, esp if you have to take it off for some reason and put it back.
After my second one, I re-considering if I want to carry on with my original plan.
i keep on forgetting to clean it. then my mom always nag at me. and i always forget it's there. so i pull or scratch my ear.
I heard about too many infection story until i wont pierce liao.... infection what bleed, what sometimes got hole, got yellow liquid....
My second ear piercing keeps closing after I removed my earring (as not advisable to wear for work).
Had some difficulties as I have to force a bit thru to 're-open', but have some cleaning to do on the earring (some dried blood).
Now I know why they says earrings on sales should not be tried on...contamination thru blood
but me STILL very tempted to pierce moi belly!!!!!!! but i very lazy to take care and clean leh  sheesh......

belly piercings might 'migrate' and if it doesn't heal well, will leave keloids.
like mine, until now can only use titanium, can't use stainless steel. if not will get all pus-sy.
