Whats the impression you get if I do this...

I have been in my current team for 4 years and 4 months liao.
After Chinese New Year, I really wanna get a transfer just for a change.
Then I kenna a 3 month attachment wef March till May.
I was thinking, after my 3 months attachment in end of May, I will tell my boss I want a transfer.
But at starting of May, promotion results were revealed.
I will be getting promoted by June.
If I ask for a transfer now, would it be like I am leaving after I got what I want? I was wondering if I will be accused anything ethically.... -

I run it well for 2 and a half years before another Department took over the whole project...and then...I was placed on the promotion 'express train'.
