IMO, unpredictable isnt that bad. What is perplexing will be consistently inconsistent behaviour. that is perplexing i think.

Just some quick examples : unlike what you're probably exposed to in other parts of the world, having a woman taking up your offer on you buying her drinks/gifts does not necessarily constitute an approval for you to woo her. Afterall, this is a part of the world where many wouldn't turn down anything that comes free...
