He is threatening u coz he is scared u will talk to his gf . Just send some photos to him , of u and him together close to each other and say ... If he wants to see these photos on stomp or best still show to his gf personally ....you should be the one threaten him and not the other way around .

His gf of 3 years? even if he found this new gf immediately aft he left him or he left you, it is 3 years ago...why are you still in his life or he in your life? Why is his gf able to contact you to confront you?
were you back in his life even after he started seeing the other girl?

I pity that other girlfriend of his. She should know the whole truth and be warned about this guy.

Uh. I am no longer in contact with him. What I meant was: he was two timing. He had a gf before he met me. And then he got together with me while still together with the girl. Him and the girl has been together for 3 years or longer. Both the girl and me didn't know each other existed till recently.
