There's been a lot of problems at home and moving out I my last resort. Issues at home are getting so bad recently I've decided I move out. But well, it's easier said than done I guess. I'm currently studying and working to pay for my school fees. Is there anyway I can rent a one room flat from people without an agent or am I able to apply directly from hdb (heard it's cheaper). Im not looking for a great place and stuff, jut somewhere to sleep because I'll usually be out from day to night due to school + work. I'm turning 18 in two months and I'm just trying to save up and plan my expenses etc. so I'm wondering if applying directly from hdb ( I don't even know if I am able to) or renting a one room unit from someone is a better choice.
thank you!
how old are u?
got how much savings?
turning 18 in 2 months time. I calculated my savings right now, sufficient for three months inclusive of giving money to my parents and rent, food, transport, others, etc. I'm currently working to pay my own school fees too. I found a place near where my parents are staying and the person agreed to rent it to me at $550. what do you think :(
cai png damn expensive.
Sure?
wat kinda probs u have at home till u need to move out badly?
is it worth it? is there a way to communicate?
$550/mth can be saved for future degree and giving more to ur parents than giving it to the landlord...do think carefully girl....
All The Best.. :)
I know it's expensive but I have no choice either. Sigh just bear with it for another year and save up more maybe
.
yo youngman
why no try to resolve wat ever problems at home?
denial or running away from the problems will not do any gud
bad for character building
Hdb will not rent you any flat as your parents are still around and you have not reach the requirement age . Else you need to get married in order to bto or buy resale flat with your spouse . And renting a room is not as easy as you think especially when you are still studying , unless you can afford it . If not it will be a huge expense on you . Being a first time of renting a room can be risky too if you met a bad landlord . You can read my post regarding about bad experience with landlord .
