  heyy.. my parents are very strict... very orthodox even in the 21st century.. tried my best to cope but now i am 17... i don't think i can handle this any longer... pls help

  Go overseas for study. If you start working now, assuming you have passed A levels, it will be a very tough competition as you grow older. You will make less than 1000S$ in SG, unless of course you become successful in business.
