Hais PSLE results out got 174,NA...English A chinese and science B and math E..than kena scolding by parents..I feel like an underacheiver..See those people in my school pricipal call up stage get prize because get 250+..also i all 6 years in school never win any award..not even one.hais i feel so useless sia like everyone achieved something but i never, ever did acheive one thing in my entire life..
u still have a long way ahead of u
set urself some goals and achieve them
Nobody is born useless, nobody is given awards for their pretty faces, not even in beauty contests, nobody achieve without putting in efforts.
why do some get 250+ and why some 150+?
Think about the efforts you put in your study, learn how you can study not just hard but also smart.
Your life haven't started yet, how much you would achieve in your "entire" life begins now, how are you moving forward!!!
You want rewards then work hard for it lah. Set your sight further don't let short term set backs bother you.
Your other subjects score well.. math not the greatest .. that means you can understand teaching, and has no learning disabilities.
Mathematics is a subject that you either know or you don't know..or you know but too slow. Your fundamentals must be strong else you will have difficulties doing more advance mathematics.
Figure out why you aren't doing well then work on it. A good tutor can help a lot if your parents aren't able to help you.
I got a friend even lower than u.
While I don't think everyone can score 250s, it is definitely possible for every student to score between 210-220, unless you have mental disability.
Perhaps it is time to reflect on yourself. How often did you study, compared to the students who score 250s?
With hardwork, even someone with average intelligence can expect to score decent marks.
PSLE 174.. my PSLE even lower than you..
Thanks guys,feeling better

I personally feel that math in P6 is so damn advanced...i flunk every math test until PSLE. Don't worry, if P6 math doesn't appeal to you, secondary school math will be better. Just don't take A-Math in sec 3

you talk about searching for meaning, spiritual minds and philosophy when you don't score well for PSLE?

Don't think this way. It might be because you have not "matured" in a sense. Like when i was having my PSLE, i heck care and play maple everyday. Even the results day itself. I got 165. My parents also scolded me. But remember, PSLE isn't everything. There is N and O levels. Not trying to show off but my results got better by abit after going to secondary school. I also did not get any awards during Primary school life but then i started to get some in Secondary school as i decided to work hard. New education, new school , new year, let it be a new life. Only if you start to work hard, then will your results improve.

every test also do, in the end if still can give a competitive quote to customer and beat your other competitor, who can identify redundant things not need to do and can give a lower better quote -rabah! Boleh!
work double hard if u think u r stupid but there is no cure for laziness
As long as you have the heart to improve yourself in secondary school, you will definitely succeed one way or another
Getting below 200 doesn't mean you are an underachiever. Don't let your parents' thoughts influence your own. You are your own person, and you run your life, not them. It is possible to even jump to express from NA if you're willing to study extremely hard, though I don't recommend you do that because it's a very steep jump. We all rventually take the same exams eventually, just that NA has a 'N' level in between and an extra year.
Your parents called you "underachiever"? Prove them wrong.
Join a CCA, be very active in it, and maybe someday you might even be promoted to Chairman or Vice-C if you're devoted/committed enough. Capitalize on all opportunities to develop your leadership abilities, especially from sec 1-3 - you'll have a lot of spare time in those years until 4/5. Join all CIP the school offers, or if you're interested (I was a librarian, peer leader, and vice-chairman of my CCA in my 4 years and it really paid off). Do external CIP on the side whenever you can (trust me, we all have spare time, it's just that most of us don't utilize them effectively). Examples include OCBC cycle, standard chartered marathon etc, you get money AND cip hours on the side. Not recommended to slack off your CCA because it gives you -2 points in O levels (and that is really, really important) so make sure you choose something you really enjoy if possible.
You may have heard this gazillions of times from others, but don't mix with the wrong company. I don't even know you so I can't dictate what's right or wrong, but I think you know what's best for you and your future when it comes to deciding what kind of people you want to hang out with. I've seen people get 250+ for PSLE and yet end up with 16-20 points (net score) for O levels. You can be the opposite if you try hard enough.
Best of luck. Remember, always have confidence in yourself; don't let others pull you down. A confident man is a rich man.
