When should I give up? in courtship?

I just started liking this girl at college. A good friend of mine encourage me to go after her. By the way, this good friend of mine is already attached, so he is not competing against me. I have met her a few times, got the chance to chat with her.
I just started watsapping her, I ask her out for movies. At first I was really excited, that she said yes but in she text me at 3am to say that she has something urgent to do. We are both from different faculties, so I am not sure what is she up to so I ask her how is her studies. She say that she is busy with her assignment deadlines. So I guess she may have stayed up late to do her assignments.
So I suggested to her that I can be of help, I am good at proof reading, correct spelling and grammar. She say that she will send me the draft of her assignment for me to check. Two hours later, she ask for my email address. I gave it to her. Then I waited for another 2 hours, checked my email, no answer. I watapp to her to ask her how is it? She say she haven't done it yet.
So its been two days, she haven't sent to me. Do you think she's giving me the merry go round? Or should I just think of other more creative ideas to court her?
