Now waiting for my flat and renting a room last week room agent called and say landlord says i gotta move out by end September coz my wife is pregnant and they will return me my deposit thats all. Still got 8 months of contract left. Can they do that?!?

no lah. people dun want i stay so buay song. but isnt it breaching of contract on their part? Another agent says they have to top up the difference for my new rent?

The usual Tenancy Agreement would have a termination clause, subject to a notice period. If the current notice period is less than stated in the agreement, he should pay you in lieu of the notice period.
However, he should not be evicting you based on that reason (uless your agreement states that no pregnant person can live in the house, which I think is highly unlikely). Like others have said, check your agreement.
