NPCC. Instructors gone mad?

  Hi all, my cca is NPCC and yesterday (9 July 2013), my instructors has pass down a message that require us to write reflections. All of us has to write the reflection. Do note that it is not a punishment. The total amount of reflections will to hand up is 28. 

  We are required to write 14 reflections of 200words each. (2800words total)

  And also 2 reflections of 350 words each. (700words total)

  And also 10 reflections of at least 50 words each. (500 words total)

  Total number of words needed to be written is 4000. Deadline is next Friday. 

  I just wanna ask, is this even legal? Is this some kind of toture and can parents complain it to the Teachers?

  PS : Teachers didn't know about it at first until someone complained about it.

  If the NPCC instructor asked the cadet to knock it down, maybe the cadet will complain to their parent that they are been "tortured".
