  What do you think about the discrimination of people in Singapore because of their looks?

   

  How do you think it affects them at a personal level, like their mental state of mind or their self confidence, does it lead to depression etc. and how does it affect society in general?

  What do you think the consequences are? Have you experienced it before?

  i mean, look at our prime minister.. he married an ugly man.. and the ugly man holds one hell of a position in temasek..

  if being ugly limits going far, then the prime minister's husband will be a begger by now..

  Singapore is a very progressive country where the prime minister is in a same sex marriage with an ugly man so you cannot say there's discrimination

  I think Singaporean girls quite discriminating when it comes to looks, because when I go clubbing, I got hit by so many girls just because I have a long tongue and long dick.

  I think looks do play a part in the treatment you get from people. People generally treat you better if you are good looking. We often attribute good qualities to people who are nice to look at. Yes, human beings are indeed superficial. However, that does not mean that people who are average or not so good looking are a failure! One can strive to do things with the best of his/her abilities. It is about your "inside" which people can see and recognise later on as they work with you or get to know you deeper. People will stare and look at you for 2 reasons. 1= you are good looking, 2= you are ugly. Put that aside, you shouldnt allow society to evaluate you. You are more worthy than you think you are. There's more to you than you know. :0) Cheers!

  When it comes to character and inner beauty - again its very subjective.

  some people just coz they dont look good or have the look, they will try to 'make' their own character good. ido find a lot of peole with below average looks full of jealousy, do anything to bring better looking peple down.

   

  better looking people may mostly enjoy attention. but not all of them do.

   

  so dont generalized.

  when reach my turn, auntie just stopped and look at me.
  she just ask everyone what they want to order except for me.
  so i look at her back and ask her in chinese, "yes auntie? is it that you want to ask me what i want to order?"
