My and my gf are 18 and still schooling. She thinks that she is pregnant and if she is i dont want to abort it. I really need advise on what to do as i still want to study and at the same time support her all the way. Was thinking of going NS to financially support her while she study. Please help :(
Since you have decided to keep the baby, then the most important thing for you now is to start learning how to be a good father and a parent. You gotta also let the gf's parent know.
18yrs old and preggers while studying is not going to be easy for her and you both. And not just financially, but emotionally as well.
But if you managed to 先家立业, by 40 yrs old.. kid will be 22. Thats not too shabby. You can then retire and enjoy life, waiting for grandkids. :P
Keep also difficult, Abort also difficult. Be careful next time.
The stress and mood swings during pregnancy and anxiety of the father during wife's pregnancy... when coupled with work/studies, it can be extremely taxing...
i wouldn't say both need to have willpower... but more of endurance and discipline...
Life's going to be tough so need the discipline... cannot anyhow spend money... taking care of a baby is costly, factor in diapers, gyne, milkpowder, EQs, and it's an extremely hefty sum...
and why endurance? becoz both have to endure the tempers that both give each other during this period of time...
Not that it's going to kill u, but the road will be tough...
Its not as easy as you think. There are many things you got to consider. The emotional and financial aspects of bringing up the kid. Its worse when you got to do your National Service.
At the same time, I got to praise you for taking responsibility for the child. There are many cases where the guy will run away or ask to abort the baby. It takes courage to think about keeping the baby and supporting the baby and your gf.
Was thinking of going NS to financially support her while she study.
Where are you from?

Maybe you should sign on.
the best people to ask are yours and her parents for approval whether to keep the baby. Not us.
No problem, why worry, just get marry and thing will settle by itself, one of my old unle got 10kids, last time only an odd job labourer only
If by 40s, child 22 yo can bring back money is ok, by if child still ask for money like me asking from my father, god bless you .
From some of my friends and former classmates who married earlier, by 23yo, most divorced.
Just want to know, if you choose to keep the baby,
Are you able to give it a good life? Have you planned for his/her university/polytechnic fees? His/her insurance, savings etc? And money to buy diapers, milk?
sign on lah!!$2500/mth i heard in regular forces plus free food!
and i heard also got free underwear hor??
you have to be responsible to your own actions. if you abort the baby, this guilt will torment you till the day you die, same with your gf.
In older days, my grandma said she give birth at 16yo, and my grandpa is only 18yo, so what is the big deal of having a baby at 18yo, you read the news, 10yo girl give birth to a baby.
Go to your MP, tell him you are a young father, (singapore govt very happy for you), young mother giving babies are more healthier and strong. Tell him you can serve NS, but also need to care for family, can request for a 9 to 5 job for you in your NS so that you can be with your family and care more for the baby.
What is hardship and suffering, sex that time very happy hor?

When was the last time she missed her menstruation ?
Please go and get a pregnancy test kit from any nearby pharmacy. All she need to do is pee on the tip n u get your results within minutes. Kindly read instructions properly to get an accurate result.
After she is confirmed pregnant, please go n speak to both side parents. U don't need their permission , just their blessings. One baby is easy with 4 grandparents. If 2 grandparents not interested, u still have 2 more to help u.
Then seek a good gynae/obstetrics doctor for pre-natal care.
All the best !
It is better to rope in both your parents for discussion if both of you want to keep the baby.
Tell MP is the fastest way. Get him in. He will help. and forget about others girl. (this girl will nothing to do with u anymore.) haha
Hey ther. HAPPY FATHER'S DAY! what's to worry, having a baby is fun and good news to both families
