Actually the RSN has been interested in a larger ship of LHA size to supplement its 4 Endurance class LSDs. However, I feel that rather than spend money on this kind of warship, the RSN could be better off increasing the number of surface combatants such as 2-3 new frigates which could be an even more capable variant of the Formidable class.
Priority should also be given to replace the 6 Victory class corvettes and the written-off Fearless class PV (RSS Courageous). -
I pesonally feel tat e MCV r still very gd ships even in 5 yrs or more maybe they need upgrading by tat time i dun think we need 2 replace them yet

Actually the Victory class FSGs will not be very efficient a decade from now. They lack the necessary range and endurance for blue-water operations, suffer from their inherent design which is essentially top-heavy, do not incorporate stealth technology and are less than ideal escorts for the new Formidable class FFGs given the fact that the two are nearly 15 years apart in technology.
A design such as the Visby class or Saar 5 class would complement the Formidable class perfectly as both are stealthy and incorporate a much more robust armament fit. -
They may not be suited for blue-water ops. but let not forget tat while builting up
a blue-water force we should not forgo our shallow water cap it will be a terrible
hindsight
