application process

  Well since I'm new here, so um, I must say HELLOW!!~ to everyone!

  I'm actually seeking for help, I'm a 2010 O level student and I wish to go NAFA, however, I'm not sure that should I JEA for NAFA or just go to that place to register??

  Sorry for posting this here but I reaaaally need someone to give me some advises..

  attend the open house on 14-15 jan 2011
  
  apply direct with NAFA as u need to pass the audition or submit ur portfolio

  oh wow.

   

  You can apply direct, bring ur portfolio for ur audition. If you dont have a portfolio, pls start one now.

  I dont know what the heck is JEA, didnt have it during my time.

  JAE lah

  but NAFA is not under JAE rite?

  JAE is for the mainstream JCs and polys, i think

  No NAFA is not in one of the choices during the admission exercise where u select where u want to go.

   

  During my time i totally skipped that. I just went straight to NAFA to apply.

  I actually want to ask more about it..

  I heard that the school will only start in july, does it mean that I have to wait for more than half a year before I can get in NAFA?

  uh ya, the semester is slightly different from the polytechnics.

  what course are you looking at?

   and uh, you can indicate NAFA as one of your choices for JAE? last time no such thing. you have to apply and hope you will get in because if you dont your as good as stuck for another year.

  i graduated from NAFA almost 2 years ago. feel free to ask more.

  That's so kind of you Pitot! ;v;

  I'm interested in graphic design and illustration design.

  The JAE booklet didnt mention NAFA at all, the courses they are offering are all under different polys, NAFA is in the school imformation section..  I havn't finished reading the whole booklet but I think I probably can't apply NAFA through JAE..

  if its the same as during my time, no. you need to apply yourself. just refer to the above link fireice posted.

  do you have a portfolio of what you have done so far? try to boost it up a little before you go for the audition.

  have fun learning at NAFA!

  Okay I will attend the open house in NAFA, I do have a portfolio and some art works  that I can be a little bit proud of, and I will prepare for the audition ;v;

  umm, I have one more question to ask..What did you do during that long long holiday? x_x

  and worry if i will kena reject while the rest of my mates are at jc/poly

  yes u have 6 mths to lobo

  so u can take up some PT job or find work in relevant discipline to ur course
  or everyday rot
  
  if u scared cannot get in, u can oso apply for poly at the same time
  (TP has something similar in their design sch)
  
  when the outcome is announced, u can drop the other place
