If the Singapore government really want to promote Singaporeans to feel proud, patriotic and happy about Singapore's National Day, then on that special day it should be celebrated with 2 days national holiday instead of the usual one day holiday for Singaporeans.

Feel proud about National Day. Had you ever been to NDP before, if you attend it once, it feel more like Foreigner Day, the majority of the crowd that attend it seen to be foreigner, seen like other that the MP and performer, there no Singaporean in the NDP at all. -

Usually I watch awhile on tv...don't like crowded places..and I'm not surprised majority of the spectators are foreigners either....most of them are suaku (moutain turtle) from the third world countries, they never seen grant fireworks in the evening and celebration back in their own country. -

The Government has implemented that 60% car loan only for car buyers and the used car dealers are given three months to sell off their car stocks. Now, I want to see the government to scrap that COE policy for car owners, which was implemented and enforced in 1991. Let the car owners in Singapore to decide for themselves when they should scrap their cars and when is the best time for them to buy new cars.

there is a shoes store in the Jurong market run by a family from China Putians that we frequented given us a real story here: the Putian/Hokkien mother/owner of the store's daughter age 23 after graduated from SG POLY interior design course worked 6 months in the same industry with many long hours OT..for S$1,600/mth salary.. upon advise by her relatives from Fujian,she applied a counter staff job in the Bank of China here in SG to beat other SG candidates without the Fujian speaking background easily n got the job which pays her S$3100/mth, her mother is so happy to tell this real ordeal to her customers.. Dear SingaPOOReans..do u c the moral of the story here...?

The moral of the story is that the no dialect policy is wrong!! you want to work for banks dealing with Indonesian you have advantage if you speak Bahasa, if you work for BNP and you speak French, wow, you will be the blue eye boy !!
You can insist on english, or singlish only if you are in this little red dot, once you deal with anything outside of Singapore, you are really singaPOORean..

I want to see the Singapore Government to lower the inflation further by disallowing banks to use HDB flats as collaterals like in the past. About lifting the 10K ceiling for buyers, rich or poor to buy HDB flats, it will not affect the market as long the banks are not involve in the loan scheme. Separate the HDB resale market prices from the new HDB flats. HDB really must go back to the very basic foundations scheme for public housings for all Singaporeans. HDB should provide the loan scheme to HDB flat buyers, regardless whether the HDB owners are 1st, 2nd or 3rd time buyers. After the 5 or more years of minimum occupancy period when the new HDB flat owners want to sell to the open market, the price will commensurate with the resale HDB market prices accordingly base upon the renovation within the flat done by the owners, the location, amenities, flat level and view; and lastly the exterior upgrading of the HDB flats. We had no problems of new HDB and resale HDB market prices in the past. The HDB market prices went up after the banks were allowed to use HDB flats as collaterals for flat owners to get loans from the banks in 1997. Separate the private properties market totally from HDB market. Let the rich or those who can afford or those who want to buy the private properties in Singapore with their own source.

later one other cheena people who also can speak the dialect - or better tmany other biord languages and alsoc arries thge kukuflu virus come and can work for 1k only, the bank will hire that new one and this one goes. hahha even funnier
