In my opinion, MOM should stop completely outsourcing part of its services to private agencies. When there are cases of overstaying by those foreigners who are awaiting for their application of work permits to be approved, ICA and MOM will starts pointing finger at each other for the errors and shortcomings. For MOM to outsource part of it services to the main private agency and then the main private agency to outsource it to a third party.....there are many problems and flaws within the system. MOM should recruit staffs as civil servants directly and stop outsourcing part of its duty to private agency to a third party.

However, from the start when Singapore open up its job market to foreigners, I believe strongly in a way that Singapore has easily compromised its national security to Communism again and Terrorism now. Imagine, how many PRC workers are brought up with the ideology and philosophy of Mao Zedong Communism Red Book. How many of them are given the PR status and Citizenship? Hopefully none of them have infiltrated within Singapore sensitive areas like the SAF, Singapore Airforce, Singapore Navy, Singapore Technology etcs. How many Arabs with radical jihadist ideology and philosophy are on the job training pass with Singapore Changi International Airport or the Muslim radical jihadist construction workers from India and Bangladesh issued with work permits working in Singapore. I'm really not sure how the Singapore government going to monitor these possible threats.

frankly, i just want them to stop trying to "help" us...
everything they "help" with ends up being a fustercluck and more expensive than it's worth.. just like GST is to help the poor and the COE & ERP is to prevent traffic jams

I think the COE factor will be like the Tobacco tax effect. No matter how expensive or how high the tax is.....they are hoping Singaporeans will still buy them....more revenue for the government.

The MZD red book is now still available at many souveniour shops. It was a piece of propaganda during cultural revolution and cultural revolution is official recognized by the communist Chinese government as a national catastrophe. Chinese communists used to worship Mao like their god but now they know the god is dead. But, suddenly people like you jumped out of the blue and worry about mao zhe dong. Whether worship Mao like god, or fear him like devil, you are just acknowledging him with a position that is totally irrelevant now.
I am not jumpy, just got a little worried, hoping that people of that era, mao, stalin, would not suddenly become alive, because people of cold war mentality have just become alive!!! Scary.....
My fear for China is the rise of nationalism, their economic power, or simply just their numbers that is now mobile...fear for MZD and his teaching? hmmm...
