For MOM to outsource part of it services to the main private agency and then the main private agency to outsource it to a third party…..there are many problems and flaws within the system. MOM should recruit staffs as civil servants directly and stop outsourcing part of its duty to private agency to a third party.
Ask for too much.
Where are the patriots of this island? Ppl like general hummel from the rock
frankly, i just want them to stop trying to "help" us...
everything they "help" with ends up being a fustercluck and more expensive than it's worth.. just like GST is to help the poor and the COE & ERP is to prevent traffic jams

“Where are the patriots of this island? Ppl like general hummel from the rock”Duirng SAF BMT, my instructor told us that our enemy was the communists & vietcong. I never thought one day my enemy would be the muslim terrorists. Now I have two enemies..The Communists and The Muslim Terrorists.
I was like these…

uncle, you served NS in the 70s? haha...I don't think the Malaysian armed forces would have thought that they would be fighting the philippinos in Sabah. Nobody would have thought that people in Burma would need the military to protect them from the clashes between buddhists and muslim.... The communists and the muslim terrorists, where are they?
LHL put it wisely, and correctly, " We don't identify our enemies, the enemies identify themselves."

Were your parent being seen as communists while they were living in Malaysia..and that was the reason they migrated to Singapore…you were born there..came to singapore with them while you were in primary school..you have bad memories while in Malaysia in the past…that is why you are pro PRC and anti-Malaysia now?

“In the past Singapore was very serious with anti-communism movement and successfully eradicate that threat within Singapore. However, from the start when Singapore open up its job market to foreigners, I believe strongly in a way that Singapore has easily compromised its national security to Communism again and Terrorism now. Imagine, how many PRC workers are brought up with the ideology and philosophy of Mao Zedong Communism Red Book. How many of them are given the PR status and Citizenship? Hopefully none of them have infiltrated within Singapore sensitive areas like the SAF, Singapore Airforce, Singapore Navy, Singapore Technology etcs.”I’ve seen one now…hope the Singapore government can see it too.
"you have bad memories while in Malaysia in the past…that is why you are pro PRC and anti-Malaysia now?" why is "bad memories in Malaysia in the past = pro PRC"?
"the PRC workers are brought up with the ideology and philosophy of Mao Zedong Communism Red Book." people your age can still come to Singapore as workers?
"your parents came to Singapore because they were seen as communists"? angke, you really like to assume a lot of things to show that you know, but that only show that you don't know.
Be careful, the guy standing next to you could be a communist or a terrorist.

Those who have TB & VD must be treated and healed…must show the treatment document from a doctor and a letter of acknowledgement from the company hiring them. Even heart problem and high blood pressure must have a letter of acknowledgement from company hiring them….but most of the time, company will not hire heart problem foreign workers. Many Malaysians above 50 are still working in Singapore.
Some of them have been working for so long in Singapore…they just need to renew their work permit…of course with good health…without coming down to collect their work permit themselves. Every 5 years….they need to come down personally to process their work permit with their new recent photograph…and now with right & left thumbprint.

Many PRCs born in the 70s work in Singapore.
PRC dependent pass holder….
PRC with Singaporean spouse….with LTVP….
PRC students in Singapore when on the job training need to apply for work permit…
Mao Zedong is the Founder of Communist Party in China…..aren’t the young Chinese being thought about him and about his red book?

Since your father was born in China….could that be one of the reason….that is what I mean.
“Support for the MNLA was mainly based on around 500,000 of the 3.12 million ethnic Chinese then living in Malaya. The ethnic Malay population supported them in smaller numbers. The MNLA gained the support of the Chinese because they were denied the equal right to vote in elections, had no land rights to speak of, and were usually very poor.”

You have relatives in PRC from your father side?
All the abovementioned oppression in Malaysia may cause Malaysian Chinese look up at PRC.
Lastly, I notice each time when PRC is being seen and spoken of negatively within this sg forum, you will get jumpy and it gets into your nerve.
angke, have you been to China, or know a little about mainland China through modern media?
The MZD red book is now still available at many souveniour shops. It was a piece of propaganda during cultural revolution and cultural revolution is official recognized by the communist Chinese government as a national catastrophe. Chinese communists used to worship Mao like their god but now they know the god is dead. But, suddenly people like you jumped out of the blue and worry about mao zhe dong. Whether worship Mao like god, or fear him like devil, you are just acknowledging him with a position that is totally irrelevant now.
I am not jumpy, just got a little worried, hoping that people of that era, mao, stalin, would not suddenly become alive, because people of cold war mentality have just become alive!!! Scary.....
My fear for China is the rise of nationalism, their economic power, or simply just their numbers that is now mobile...fear for MZD and his teaching? hmmm...
angke, take your medicine.

Haha…
So you worried about those communists from Mao Zedong and perhaps Deng Zhao Ping era will reawaken the old and young Chinese in PRC and overseas….about fundamental communism again.
History always repeated itself….and the way I see…with the great income gap within the society of PRC…..it can happen again…Communism usually starts well with the peasants in China..
You were still a baby when countries in Indo-China fell to Communism like dominoes. It was a very fearful thing to witness that event.
great income gap is within many countries, including Singapore, a good ground for the resurgence of communism? angke, take your medicine, no good to skip dementia medicine.
you singaporean? so what you want from the government?
