Now WP has 7 elected MPs. 1/3 parliament means at least 29 seats, so they need 22 more MPs.

WP should set a realistic target of 29 seats for the short to middle range term. If they can get 10+ MPs, they can form a shadow cabinet.

Small correction. Even 1/3 parliament mean that they cannot stop any bill that pass. The parliament need 2/3 votes to pass any bill which mean as long as PAP is holding 2/3 or more, they can pass any bill they like. Thus the opp will need 23 more MP. -

that's why i say NSP should also work hard. meawhile opposition must understand to saty in parliament they have alos to manage their constituency well, of course within the limits of their means. like that sure can win more in the next GE.
we cannot also depend on WP alone that's why other oppositions have also to bear this in mind. will colective efforts tomaintin their foothold on constituencies, a cange in parliament to voice their opinions representing other singaporeans, together they can work towards the 1/3 seats there.
