$8 is refering to the recently saga on our former healther minister Khwa (current minister of national developement) on he's media comment saying "I only pay $8 for my heart bypass". The rest of medical bills are paid through cpf and its plans.
Charlize's answer are politically motivated.
Trust me, nowadays unless you're the minister of health or minister of national development, you can't get a hospital bill of $8. The normal price for a peasant like me cost about $20,000+ and above for a heart bypass. -

We need a parliament which is 45% Opposition at least. If not sure all bully us.
PAP is slow in tackling the car popuplation. ERP wtf and Inadequate carpark.
Housing very disappointed. First time owner should have big entitement like more grant and discount. Poor then live HDB ma. RIch need to live meh.
