Then we will see a lot of fights when the Parliament sits in.
Will Singapore Turn into Next Taiwan
The Taiwan hokkien world is an alien world to peranakans like Harry Lee Kuan Yew.
He won't allow Singapore to turn into a Taiwan.
75% chinese but Lee Kuan Yew will never turn Singapore into a chinese state.
Because that chinese world is an alien world to Lee Kuan Yew. He will turn it into banana state.
FOR the Babas, the significance of the new policy was that they no longer had the option to elect Malay as a second school language, but were obliged to study Mandarin, a language which many of them regarded as rather alien.
"My brother thinks the Baba culture is chaotic... it is completely out of touch. You are a Chinese living in a community of Chinese, so how to survive?

All I can say is at least the Taiwanese have the guts to vote against what they do not want unlike many hopeless selfish kiasu kia si Sickaporeans here.
Sometimes it is not that we want to vote but we simply do not have the chance to vote for those deserving of a chance to serve us.

If I am living in a walkover area, how you expect me to vote?

That situation was created by the PAP.

If that is the case, what can I do?Nothing right?
I was rooting for the WP when the results were announced.
Some colleagues at my office still staunchly believe in the ruling party.
@Win-Its alrite...
PAP is a banana party. It must go.
wat taiwan!?....
it has already changed into 女人妖国...
Maybe the 60% are the elites who voted for them?
Some still think they are the real deal.

Didn't worry, rest assured that if any one got the gut to fight in the singapore 's government, he/she might immediately charged under Internal Security Act and we might either see the last of him/her or the culprit would be remember just like Mat Selamat. And that why Taiwan can never be like Singapore because it is well-known that Taiwan practise black gold politics and some politician are either connected to or are triads indirectly, there are no law or act to stop them. So no hope for their government already since their country are run by decent "mafia" and their parliament are also "govern" the same way like an ordinary sam sengs fight in singapore.

Not all are elites. Some of these are old folks, grassroot people, people who do not want change for better . . . . , civil servants.
Oh,they voted to protect their rice bowls and some are ignorant.
I don't mind admitting that they did a good job from 1965 to the 1990s but things began to go downhill from then on.

They are not political people.

Taiwanese are more open in touching on taboo issues and tackling any political problems.
They took a ownership of their land and stand forward to make their stand.
Their leader engaged in true debate and questioning from true opposition.
Singapore is getting more dis-united with different quarters of foreigners who dun have a belonging.
Coupled with croonies who only fight for their bonus and not the welfare of the commoners, Singapore will never be like Taiwan.
It is a matter of time when all the money are being wasted by the top 1% talent.
Must wait for Lee Kuan Yew to die and see what happens. Problem is he won't die.
