dalforce25, why dun u join WP or SDP, since u hated PAP.
go do something about it.
amidst the need for more oppositions, the people must get a good grip of how singapore survives and the critical success factors that allow us continue to sustain that survival.
what we are concerned is taking for granted that oppositions are the only way to keep singapore survive...that will be the single most important mistake to make and lose our country.

This is right wing neoliberal economic garbage. And what about the billions of losses by GIC and Temasek?
I think PAP MPs have too much welfare, just join a GRC and free ride into parliament with over $10,000 monthly allowance.
Abolish the GRCs and compete on your own lah. So useless meh, don't dare to fight for votes alone?
That's too much pampering and welfare. Pui.
Fascists only meant to allow themselves to enjoy welfare, this is a proof of self serving. To them singaporeans are daft and are meant for their money making and gaining power for themselves.
Originally posted by Siliconchip:That's a good point. Everytime someone brings up a new policy or scheme to implement, PAP finds some other country that does it poorly and says it does not work.
That is why earlier I mentioned in other thread that if you know that they are in for money then we will understand why they say and act the way they do.
Serving people is not important, serving themselves is top on the list!

Not so soon. I predict it is going to take at least another 20 years to get them out. Majority singaporeans are still politically immature, kiasu and kiasi to go forth to give them the mandare. Like as if without PAP they cannot survive in Singapore.

WP is very selective, people full of rage are not suitable. We need people who are cool.

Not sure NSP and SPP would be ready to take on any role in the government.
they will have to show they can work as a team, next they have to get elected and demonstrate that they can perform in the parliament, then they have to show that they have a plan for the people of Singapore.
It is always easy to anti PAP capitalizing on emotion. To come up with constructive plans is much more difficult, to rally the people and implement the plan, put their money where their mouth is, is a totally diffferent ball game altogether.

SPP had CST as an MP for 14 years. These days they have a rising star in Ben Pwee.
NSP's Hazel Poa has potential too, and council member Nicole Seah drives the crowds wild in the same way that Evita Peron or Indira Gandhi would.
WP, NSP and SPP have fielded a lot of credible-looking candidates this time round. It will inspire those who are sincere about making the change to join their ranks. No surprise that these 3 are the strongest opposition parties around. Their left-of-centre leaning makes for an attratcive alternative to PAP's brand of fascism.

Ministers also get MP allowance?
i despise them now more than ever...

Don't think they will ever let you know all the details.
Ah dou Lee Hsien Loong is paid more than $1000 per day.
Sigh, some singaporeans don't even get paid $1000 per month.

Are you sure he is paid so little?
$1000 a day = $30,000 a month = $360,000 a year.
come one one minister can do some many jobs meh? you pay them this and that they can like ninja be at 2 place at one time? comon! growth up people! their job should be divided - can;'t we see it? we should do our job the next election - vote wisely. aljunied GRC is one good example. we should now vote - for the sake of voting while we still have a chance.
