If stop at 3 or 4 policy, the problem wouldn't be that bad today.
Actually this whole population control policy was a total disaster for Singapore.

actually 24 years ago government already started giving tax rebate and priority for schools for the 3rd kid in the family. Look around we will see many couples choose not to have more kids, or any kids at all, husband and wife both want to retain their career, parents and in law not prepared to help in looking after the baby, got baby cannot go overseas travelling, cannot go pubs, when they grow up, they need to score in PSLE, ......lots of sacrifice....what is worse, when the kids grow up, they can be rebelious, ignore their parents, dump them in old folks homes, ....you scare or not?
the government do what they think is good for them and the society, at the particular time, married couples don't have to ask the government if they can have babies.

PAP will still be in government after 5 years. PAP will stay on for at least another 20 years, majority of Singaporeans love them.
