SINGAPORE: Singapore's total population stood at 5.18 million as at end June this year.
According to latest statistics from the Population Trends 2011 report, there were 3.79 million Singapore residents.
Of which, 3.26 million are Singapore citizens and 530,000 are permanent residents.
There were 1.39 million non-resident foreigners as at end June.
The
report said the total population expanded by 2.1 per cent, or 107,000,
in 2011, due to increased number of citizens and non-residents.
The number of Singapore citizens grew by 0.8 per cent between 2010 and 2011 to 3.26 million.
Growth
in the number of non-residents was 6.9 per cent in 2011, down from the
peaks of 15 per cent in 2007 and 19 per cent in 2008.
In
contrast, the number of permanent residents declined by 1.7 per cent to
532,000, after growing 1.5 per cent last year and at least six per cent
each year between 2005 and 2009.
Reflecting the ageing population, the proportion of Singapore residents aged 45 years and over expanded over time.
The median age of the resident population rose from 37.4 years last year to 38 years in 2011.
Consequently,
the ratio of working-age residents to elderly residents dropped. There
were 7.9 residents aged 15-64 years for each resident aged 65 years and
over in 2011, a decline from 8.2 in 2010.
In 2011, the Chinese
formed the majority at 74 per cent of the resident population, followed
by the Malays with 13 per cent and the Indians with 9.2 per cent.

Great! Happy! More money is here, more money, huat ah, PAP! Double win for PAP, huat ah, pinky sissy LHL fulfulling his target soon and at the same time huat ah more money for him and his parasites gang and gangster papa.
Congratulations, PAP!
Thanks to daft singaporeans.
HAhahhahaha, those daft ones who in GE this year believe in sissy parasite pinky Lee Hsien Loong who said he will bring down the number of foreigners and he "cried" to say sorry, ahahahhahahha should now thank LHL for his lies. hahahahahhaha!
60.1 percent thanks for your mandate for LHL to bring in more foreigners, thanks for letting the PAP to continue to treat us 2nd or 3rd class citizens in this homeland of ours. Daft and selfish, and immature Singaporeans, politically IQ minus zero, damn ! You who belong to this selfish, immature and daft group of singaporeans don't point fingers at other singaporeans who are planning for migration or migrated. They are sick of you for being "partners" with PAP for a second and third class treatment to citizens.
.
see, vote pap in any everything will still remain the same.
so much for the talk about changing. We still ended up importing foreigners, not by the hundreds, not by the thousands, but by the hundred thousands.
I wonder if you exclude the newly converted singaporeans(been here less than 10yrs) from the 3.26m, how many real singaporeans are left.
Singapore is already very crowded already, I don't see the need to have 5+ mil people in Singapore.
PAP regime's propaganda on more and more people in Singapore must be examined and studied carefully. I remember there was a book, the "next Lap" published in 1990 which stated that Singapore needs 4 mil people.
So what happened to the policy? Why 4 mil changed to 5+ mil? What's going on here?
PAP, what shit are you selling this time?
I don't like people come sell me shit, you understand or not PAP?
perhaps u didn;t read some fine qualifying clause which is very commonly used...
"figures reported subject to change"
in some...they will simply put an end all clause...
SUBJECT TO CHANGE WITHOUT FURTHER REFERENCE

Then I want to change back to 4.5 - 4 mil.
5 mil, 5.5 mil, 6 mil, you go fuck off lah PAP.
I would like to take this opportunity to annouce that I have almost given up fighting against the import of foreigners. I can't stand to hear or read another word 'foreigner'. There are some pp who will fight to the death for what they believe in. I don't know how they do that bec I am drained of energy. the establishment has won. So to all the pp outside S'pore, I say: Come, come to your island paradise, u will be rewarded and extolled. So come all ye worthy n wonderful outside-people.
It will soon be July 7, the first anniversary of the great War of Resistance Against Japan.
Rallying in unity, persevering in resistance and persevering in the united front, the forces of the whole nation have been valiantly fighting the enemy for almost a year.
The people of the whole world are attentively following this war, which has no precedent in the history of the East, and which will go down as a great war in world history too.
Every Chinese suffering from the disasters of the war and fighting for the survival of his nation daily yearns for victory.
But what actually will be the course of the war?
Can we win?
Can we win quickly?
Many people are talking about a protracted war, but why is it a protracted war?
How to carry on a protracted war? Many people are talking about Final victory, but why will final victory be ours? How shall we strive for final victory?
Not everyone has found answers to these questions; in fact, to this day most people have not done so. Therefore the defeatist exponents of the theory of national subjugation have come forward to tell people that China will be subjugated, that final victory will not be China's.
On the other hand, some impetuous friends have come forward to tell people that China will win very quickly without having to exert any great effort. But are these views correct?
We have said all along they are not.
However, most people have not yet grasped what we have been saying.
This is partly because we did not do enough propaganda and explanatory work, and partly because the development of objective events had not yet fully and clearly revealed their inherent nature and their features to the people, who were thus not in a position to foresee the over-all trend and the outcome and hence to decide on a complete set of policies and tactics.
Now things are better, the experience of ten months of war has been quite sufficient to explode the utterly baseless theory of national subjugation and to dissuade our impetuous friends from their theory of quick victory.
In these circumstances many people are asking for a comprehensive explanation.
All the more so with regard to protracted war, not only because of the opposing theories of national subjugation and quick victory but also because of the shallow understanding of its nature...
The question now is: Will China be subjugated? The answer is, No, she will not be subjugated, but will win final victory. Can China win quickly? The answer is, No, she cannot win quickly, and the War of Resistance will be a protracted war.

If we have a declining birth rate of native singaporeans, yet still manage to grow by 0.8% (Using a figure of 3,000,000 , 0.8% = 24,000), and obviously people continues to die everyday, this alot of this growth comes from new citizens.

And that is only over 1 year :)
Those New Citizens will be voting different from you.
Vote more of them to come over.
Nowadays, I see more Indian from India in Singapore, looks like they outnumber the PRCs.
Soon Singapore will change name to Indiapore!
