hi jianiyour question is very broad... hard to give a very definite answer about which country is best...
i hear that for industrial design, some of the best innovation and ideas and which have mass market appeal are coming from the US.. the US also seems to be the most professional in terms of the overall maturity of the industry and the way they commercialize things
i have a friend in germany though who also feels that its a great place for design and "creative" industries... they have the Bauhaus, and the Ulm School of Design
japan is also good. they are most open to accepting fringe innovation, cool and new gadgets, absolutely crazy packaging and design
korea is pretty good for new design companies. their government is doing various things to fund development, the market is interested in design, the technology is cheap and very available including a range of pre market technology items which can be used for prototyping, and there are a lot of talented people
for gaming, whether its video gaming or mobile game apps... the US is still the whole leader although japan is also very strong... korea is also experiencing a boom in these areas

Not only are the North Koreans immuned from the threat of terrorism and the fallout of the global financial crisis, they also happen to be one of only two countries with no unemployment (yes, being locked away in some remote labour camp doesn't render you unemployed).

it depends whether you already paid up your house, if you have an existing medical insurance, if you are used to driving car or take MRT, if you have to travel outside of Singapore every year.
what type of life you want for retirement?
Just remember, there are many families here when a couple raise up 2 children with less than $2000 a month, and they are happy.
