eventual success of change comes with a single step forward...
too many different oppositional forces would only divide and dilute the strength and effectiveness of change.....and that means it would take a longer period for major change to take place....
so stay focus...

Lucky the babas made english the dominant neutral language in this country, it's their mother tongue afterall. You use other languages like mandarin, malay or tamil, the english speakers like the babas will lose out. Using the baba's neutral english would be fair to the other races.
No one benefited in an unfair way with the baba's neutral english for everyone.

there are 4 official languages in Singapore, some chinese talk to malay in malay, not english, there are malay who can speak hokkien, but no english. our national language is Malay. not sure what it means to be neutral. To be practical is to use 4 languages.

For your info, baba are Asian race closest to the British. It is expected they speak good english. I don't find LKY's english very good. He never completes his sentences.

He is old timer lawyer, well trained to speak in a way of the leaving the last few words for you to ponder.

UN themselves also does not know what democracy really is, and pathethically, UN is formed by a lot of top notch scholars. UN has been around for 40 years, and the world never get so peace on the other shore far away. That's why so many foreign prefer to come Singapore. Neverthelessly, old guard also may not truly aware what democracy is besides being democratically happy for themselves. All the goodies such as transportations are the cause arises from the kindness of people in singapore, that a glory to all people of Singapore

ok lets be fairness.
Spore is a safe and good place to live in. Schools, shopping centers, hawker centers, flats, security is always good as you can never see any people holding out guns shooting. Despite the unhappiness with hdb prices, increasing fares, pub bills, we spore is a good place to stay.
UN should actually look at other big big countries that have serious problems.
Not prick on small country like us.
