Put simply: You excel in your As and stay in civl service....you are set for life. This is like China's imperial examinations system which employs the brainiest scholars into govt service. Whether it's good for a country in the long run is debatable.

For a govt make up of scholars and academics who use to score 80% and above in their education and performances, which either a grade A or A++ achievement, the election result of merely hovering about 60% wining is a failure to them, with is consider as D or D-

Everytime they win regardless of %, they treat it like a landslide victory which gives them mandate to raise all sorts of prices and taxes.
Even this previous election they got 60% and already, things are going up again.

Wah lao....this kind of thing still must survey. The writer should be named the new Sherlock Holmes sia.It's like saying survey has found that the temp. of sugercane drinks are generally colder after the uncle has decided to put more ice in it. Or that a McSpicy is spicy.

On appearances only, PAP are good in public addressing, but inside PAP party General meeting at Oxley rise, you can hear PM shouting at the top of his voice from the guard house.Previously is different from this rise in cost of living, cos they know, this could be the final rise, if dun take now, later may not hv the chance or worst, no more chances

But a lot of singaporean gong gong still wanna vote for them. Like my mother, she very loyal to PAP. She say no PAP without us. -
Just a few months after elections, people start getting frustrated again on public transport, public housing issues again.

wha uncle, yr mother must be very old already. Well, I understand old peoples, because lack of internet and other media during their times, Lee, who is consider as one of the top educated man around, knows how to take advantage of the opportunity and situation, that is why he is so successful, he can see a few days ahead of us.During that time, LKY knews that most of our multi cultural citizens are very faithful to their deity or god, from tua pek kong to shiva or so so, He also wanted to become one of them, so he act good, talk in a caring way, and gathered their trust, LKy knews where lies the human weak points of his time, the key was idolism, so he set himself to be a protray for most to admire. I hv no doubt that if LKY passed away, someone from the older generation may pray to him at home and ask for 4D or toto.
