I suppose you regard him credible.To me., anyone who is happily working as a puppet under PAP is not credible.
Mr Chiam See Tong is someone credible. Unfortunately, given the condition of his health many people would hesitate to consider him the next President.

Then it defeats the purpose of the President protecting the reserves.
If a rouge party gets elected as government, the President has to listen to this rouge government because they are the ones calling the shots now.
The incumbent party better start thinking about the real role of the President.

Depends on who is the cabinet, if it's PAP it will be supported 100%, if it's the opposition party, then it's a no go.

Change to president title/ name to Housekeeper of Istana. -
I think his most important job is to protect our past reserves, he is like a key, without his consent, PM can't touch the reserve. That is why the president should not be involved in policy making otherwise there will be conflict of interest. This is important too.

I think the cannot touch reserve thing does not apply anymore.
They can use it if the house have no objection.
I think the notion passed last Feb.
So, it have made the prata man redundant.
He is just a man that they used for increasing the salary.
As to what is he doing, he can only answer the question himself.
If he have done anything, the people will know and he dun have to defend himself.
No point going to one small island to collect a pony honour and to sign a agreement just to show that he is doing anything.
That should be a job for a millionster, not him.

what has he done that you like him? can name? there are few other alraedy express interest tan kin lian former NTUC chief and mr Tan cheng bok former MP for ayer rajah. love him when he do something for u not for doing nothing. -
