  whatever the case, national security against external threats would rank as my first concern....

  i recall the japanese invasion of China when they found a great opportunity during the wars between Kuomingtang and Communists that divided China. When they realized that their motherland has been raped to the point of brutality, they put down their grave differences and stand united for a while to fight the japanese. 

  similarly, whatever the infighting, be watchful of external threats....our neighbours are waiting for us to fall.....

  Sources say Dr Tan Cheng Bok is leading in the western and north-eastern parts of Singapore.
  
  Unconfirmed reports from 1 centre has TT at about 40%, with both TCB and TSJ below 30%. TKL said to have about 10%.
