At the end of the day, Singaporeans are the losers because now there's no one to dig out info regarding the reserves, Temasek and their link with CPF funds. PAP is the ultimate winner because they have already done their analysis. Can read Temasek Review for more.
TT is too attached to PAP party and have a same ideology and style.I am still shock that TT is the ep.
Anyway, going forward, lets hope TT can do something for the pple, a voice for the pple and a donator to any charity bodies. Yes, we need a VOICE. We need a VOICE.

I am sadden...but need to look forward now, no point greiving for tcb lost. That is history aleady. We need to see what TT can do. Or only lips servicing? -

Hope not a puppet president.
The people from the 60s, 70s or even 80s will not share the same view.
The people fro 90s, 10s, will want their view and voices to be heard.
Spore are facing a different problems. Govt cannot use the old tactics anymore.
Hope tt understand that.

What was the sentiment towards Ong Teng Cheong at the time of his EP campaign? Wasn't it the same as the one towards Dr Tony Tan this time round.
What did he do? He pressed for answers on the reserves, and that impressed some opposition trolls, after his tenure as President.
I don't think Dr Tony Tan will be a puppet of the PAP, or of the opposition camp.
Simply put, if Ong Teng Cheong can be independent, so can Tony Tan. And I bet Tony Tan will do so in his own way, just as OTC did. Without the need to curry favour of anybody.
Just need to wait and see, and not act like sore losers.
BTW how many percent did not vote for Dr Tan Cheng Bock? Or Mr Tan Jee Say? Are they less than or more than Dr Tony Tan?
Anyway there are 4 eligible contenders. It is unanimously agreed upon that the one with the most votes wins. Not the most popular, or the most eloquent, or what Simon Cowel says.
When it was a tie between TT and TCB and recount would take one to three hours, I went to sleep, because it did not mattered to me which of these two eligible President-wanna-be won.
Lots of losers, crying sour grapes.

The PAP stereotype about OTC and TT may be the same but both individuals are very different. For a start, I think TT is a pretty cunning chap. And OTC has never issued veiled threats at anyone before but TT plenty. OTC is also never as close to the Lee family as TT.
Call me cynical but I think the writing's on the wall. TT will wayang and try to act like he's acting for the people, calling for checks and balances from the PAP but he's the man himself who has never made GIC transparent, made huge losses and tried to cast smoke over the people's eyes by trumpeting his vast economic credentials.
OTC and TT are simply different.

Actually its good that TT win la...TCB winning will just leads to more debates, more quarrels in parliament.
At least more people will listen to TT and TT may do more things if he wants to win the heart of the people as well. He already has the hearts of the businessmen.

This is just an initial stage.More pple will voice out, be it happy or not.
After some time, it will die down.
It is a norm.
Once all back to normal, we sincerely hope TT will able to help to voice out the pple's problem to the govt.

We didn't know what Ong Teng Cheong did until his presidency was over. Then when revealed, he became a hero. If it was not revealed, he would be just another ex-PAP person, subjected to the same taunts.
