For those of you who didnt vote, dont worry one bit. You do not lose out in anyway or you get blacklisted if you do not vote. None of your so-called 'citizen priorities or benefits' will be taken away. Seriously, what kind of benefits do you really enjoy as a citizen here?
All that happens is that you will be temporarily taken off the list for the next round of elections cos you didnt vote this time, the elections dept will assume you are not interested to vote for the next round.
All you'll have to do is simply log on to the elections website and re-enlist yourself into the list then you can vote again next time round.
I am overseas now and I didnt even bother to stay to vote for the President's election. IMHO, it is a total waste of time.
Honestly what difference does it make whether Tom, Dick and Harry become president ? Throughout Nathan's reign all I've only seen him do is cut ribbons, presses the lights/fireworks buttons, dig the 1st shovel of soil, hold graduations, give awards, attend functions/events only.
The President post does not have any executiona\ery powers; so all those promises the candidates make about improving pple's lives .... come on, man its just booze talk only ..

Arrogant fellow. It such a misforturne we have TT for our president. The whole nation weep.
recount will take 2-3 hours
everyone can go have mcd breakfast first.
I think Tony Tan is the next president. 7600 votes more....no way the tide is going to turn in Tan Cheng Bock's favour.
Having said that, I think CNA is pretty amateurish in its entire coverage. They haven't learnt from the GE 2011. Reporters are quite unprofessional.....this Ken Teh cut Tan Kin Lian off halfway when he was about to explain further....the J. East reporter saying "you know" when she's thinking of her next line.....this Melissa Hyak saying "the guy"....all unprofessional language used for a very important event. Oh and not forgetting S. Ramesh and his hamster face with all the hems and haws in between while reporting live. Then there was profiling of TT's and TCB's achievement down the years but none for TKL and TJS. Well, not to mention selective reporting of the candidate's achievements etc.....I think the people at the helm of CNA must be PAP scholars.
And there goes......the next 6 years of reserves "very safely guarded" because we won't know the exact losses Temasek and the GIC has made. Tony Tan is there for this very reason.

I almost thought they repeated the same broadcast again and again. Actually it's the persons saying the same things again and again. Very unprofessional. These words could have been flashed in lines across the bottom of the TV screen. Wonder who's the producer, very amteurish.
