To the residents of Singapore, PAP said they will reduce intake of foreigners and this Lim Suay Lang mentioned about better employmen, at the same time they keep going to other countries to recruit foreigners.for jobs that can be taken up by locals.
Credibility for this pap govt???
We need to be cheaper, better and faster.
Wah.
Even advertise big big on the street.
We have to get their message by now, that is Singaporeans are useless and expensive to employ, all companies govt or private to employ foreigners.

Many years back, Singapore workers used to be most competitive in the world.
Fast forward to present time, productivity drop, salary drop, everything drop.
Haiz.
some left spore also...including permanent residents of spore as well as sporeans.mebbe not some but many.
most can count using calculators ...like what they earn n can save and what will be in bank by age 70.
the PAP say one thing but has no control of its actions or companies in spore.so the PAP could be unfit to say they are goin to give better bemployment for its own educated n highly skilled citizens......think they have cried wolf for many years or decades ,,,,im fed up with some kids who yell wolf all the time n no results...
they cant help u much in spore and i have black n white they cant help u much anywhere in this world....then when can they help the deserving spoireans???the afterlife??in hell??heaven???the next world!!!i have no more time for their rtime wasting antics,
here already HONG GANG
CANNOT 呼 ANYMORE
BLUFF SMALL CHILDREN CAN
I hope they really mean it now when they say better jobs for citizens.
No more dish washing or table wiping jobs please.
My outside coffeeshop owner was asked by the MP to buy dish washing machines to train the old singaporean washer to be more effective by using machine. The owner replied to the MP, then who paid for the machines? Govt or the public?? MP said, the owner should paid for it, this is to upgrade the skill of the washer, their paid and its will benefit his business, owner replied "Machine wash or hand wash also dish washer mah, what is the different, furthermore, i hv to pay for the machines, increase washer paid and pay higher electrical bills, is this so called cheaper, better and faster?"
mp tryin to be funny...i suggest u get 2 bouncers n beat him up where he stands....
just make sure u dun beat him until his crap comes out on the spot where he stands or u have to clean it up too.
The problem is most MP in singapore do not know what they are talking about, cos they never work as plate collector or cleaner before, non are they coffee shop owner, so just blar blar black sheep all the way and at the end of the day/mth, 15k goes into their account.

This sounds like those MPs who go around telling hawkers to not increase prices.
Scholar logic.

Wait, those Singaporean that was forced out of the country and export to PRC had salary increase. Unfortunately, we cannot return to Singapore because salary back home has dropped.

Salary increased 14% this year in PRC. So the gap btw local and foreginers in this contry is narrowed. There is still a shortfall of PEMT and senior mgt in this country. Maybe in the next 5 years, foreigners are still needed.
The govern has continued to lie that there is shortage of mgt and PEMT in Singapore and justify for the foreigners import. The fact is having Cheap Indian and PRC do not solve the problem of cost. I dont know if we are the first rated export, but many of us are paid more than what we can get home. Unfortunately, the problem we faced is that we may not be able to come home with a job. In Shanghai, many Singaporean works in the Finance industry and CFOs in MNCs. When we reach the peak of our career or after 5-10 years away from home, we wish to return. I have seen almost 9 in 10 Singaporean return home to seek for job but evetually, still ended with a job in PRC.
It is a funny situation, it is not that our home do not have a job for us, it agonise us that employers prefer Indian, Malaysian and Indon who are cheaper but not better than us!

Cheaper - Cheaper means lower productivity, more time for tea breaks
Better - Better at arrowing people to do your job, better performer in wayang
Faster - Faster leave from work when it's time to knock off so as to achieve lower productivity. Can forget about working OT.
No lah, to us as employer,
Cheaper mean employ the cheapest like PRC or viet etc etc
Better mean can employ 3 foreigners for the price of 1 singaporeans
Faster mean, faster finish, faster collect money, careless about service

On a serious note, I say this cheaper better faster policy is rather ridiculous.
Who in her right mind wants to work harder for less salary?
Might as well shake leg and get paid the same.
The people up there ah, really destroying the labour force with such policies.
