In singapore we have to acknowledge that in many ways the price of being an opposition politician is much higher than those from the ruling party. Will MP from the opposition have the chance of becoming a minister, if he is capable?

The PAP started as an opposition party. If they could strengthen up, find good ideas in their manifesto that's workable in day to day environement, soon you'll see another Singapore. Up till now, i still do not understand why peoples keep saying George Yeo is a nice person, I personally met him in his capacity as a foreigner minister at Fullerton Hotel, he completely ignored the singaporeans greeting him and instead take care of his guests who also felt why he ignored his peoples, he is a proud person to me.
Did he found singapore? No
Did he bring up the poor? No
Did he changed PAP to make them accountable and be transparent? No
Is he paid Millions to be a foreign minister..Yes, the most expensive foreign minister in this region and perhap in this world. No big deal if he retire now, Singaporean had been looking at retirement at 65yo and forget all about the 55yo age which is an international standard.

The fact that residents in serangoon gardens voted her out is because she is very unfriendly, arrogant and unhelpful. I was at the voting centre when I witnessed her giving water to pap polling agents but she was not gracious enough to give water to polling agents from workers' party who are volunteers and are dying of thirst. What she did show me that she should not be my mp in serangoon gardens. Are workers part volunteers less human? Wake up lim hwee hwa. Residents support Pap but they chose workers' party because of you! Don sound so nobl. And push the blame tp Pap

Started w/ MBT's talk abt the flat prices, then came LTK's challenge over the upgrading program.
As I said, politics is dirty. Prev time LTK whacked GRC this and that and abt upgrading, now he himself challenged abt the upgrading works.

She was meant for great things, after all she was the first full woman minister. Anyway, I never liked the sight of her michael jackson entourage accompanying her house calls. Even from block to block, they followed everywhere. Too much self importance accorded.

She is snobbish, heartless and yucky. I will not forget her reply on cyclist and pedestrian issue on using the pedestrian walkway. Shirking the govt's responsibility on this is her style of responding. Pui!Serves her right that she lost. hip hip hooray!
