Encouter from PAP During Meet the People Session

This is the true story about me.
I went to see the MP during 8.45pm. Guess you think what happen?
I was being scolded by an Indian for coming late. In the end, i was been rejected and ask to come next week to seek the MP.
Totally turn off, not willing to help. Ok Vote for Opposition forever.

You really unlucky. My past encounter was I got to meet but received insincere treatment from this toady. From his tone I know he is only interested to serve his own agenda.

whether there is or no MP the resident should not be scolded.
PAP has campaign to tell people practise kindness and graciousness. Look how they treat people.

sometimes go figure this abt irony of Singaporeans. We can whack, but we ourselves does it.
Tell nicely also complain, rude also complain. Take bus take MRT only for many stops dun move in.
Either way, even tourist are more gracious than anyone of us.
That said, e MIWs has to change esp Bt Batok has a proper MP now

Singapore Got Worker party and People Action Party. 2 power vie for parliamentary seats. By them our interest will be protected. Dun you think so.

should not be quick to conclude it's MP's fault. some MPs i've spoken to are genuinely sincere about helping people, and if the queue lasts till 1am, so be it. the grassroots leaders (presumably whoever scolded you is one) are a different story. they think they work for MP damn big, will talk in a condescending manner to people. at some PAP rallies, i was also disgusted by their behaviour. eyes shooting daggers at whoever not cheering loudly enough. if anything, MPs should discipline their grassroots.

getting the defeated oppositional leaders into the parliament as NMPs is representational and good...

That is where the problems arises from those grc dogs that serve the residents in this manner. They are bringing down their own mps.
Dont blame the residents, mps should really investigate and take this feedback seriously, if grassroots have this kind of attitude, your place in the grc will not last more than 2nd term.
I heard alot of this too. How they treat the residents during the meet the resident session.
If those pple dont like to serve the people, plse, dont come and serve, let other people who willing to listen serve the community. They are the bad eggs in the grc grassroots. And you are the 1st line to meet and feel the ground. Very important, and attitude will tarnish the party.
Hopefully, any ministers read this will take note of this issue seriously. Not a laughing joke.

the grassroot in my opinion are one of the reason the PAP fail to hear the ground. Most grassroot are there to serve their own interest only. thus if the PAP MP ask grassroot about the how the ground feel, they would have paint a beautiful pictures to them to show they are canvassing the ground well.
to all MP, take a good look at the grounds. please dont ask just the grassroot as they are only interested in getting some benefits from the PAP such as free carpark, goodies here and there.

tis not uncommon: i tried to meet my MP Lim Hwee Hwa about a traffic summon: F&*(*&^^% TP summon me bcoz i tried to avoid a whole lane of trucks (i ride motor) at lor halus/tampinese expressway... stupid retarded hokkien old man representing MP was LAUGHING all the way when i explain 2 him wat had happen i Scold him F+++U++ laugh what & i told him i WILL vote opp next election: haha Stupid PAP think we only threaten don't dare mare??? If you were summoned because you tried to "avoid a whole lane of trucks" from the opposite direction, you should, can fight all the way. But if you went dangerously into the opposite lane, or speeded all the way, causing the trucks to take evasive action,...then your summon is rightly served.

I am not worried about him voting for the PAP, I am more worried about him on the road.

Some of the electorate can be very simple, don't reduce my fine ah? ok vote you out. Make me pay for Lift Upgrade ah? Vote you out. I think it's only human and natural.
Obviously, they also feel that PAP hasn't done enough good for them for the pros to outweight the cons. To me, beautifying the town or repainting every 3 years means nothing to me. They could start by being kinder and more benevolent.

The Worker's Party can change name to the Elite Party also. I look at the members' credentials and it is like wow...almost each member has at least 3 degrees ( mba + degree + diploma).
One has two MBAs and a degree.
Low TK has two degrees and a diploma in teaching.
CSMao tops even our LKY, three degree from the top famous 3 universities in the
world. Even LKY can only get a double degree from Cambridge alone. This CSMao
has one each from stanford, harvard and Oxford. LKY lose liao.
I counted two Juris Doctor in WP and dun know how many other law degrees. Can really whack PAP most MP.

someone made it very correctly in this forum before, at this time and age, if you can't handle well the pressure in school and make an achievement, how can you handle all problem for the people in singapore. we should be glade that we have the elites in the opposition parties.
It would be disaster for singapore if the difference between PAP and opposition equal those who do well in schools and those who flunk.
