GE : GRC poll results should be categorized into divisions

  Each GRC poll result should be categorized into divisions eg for Marine Parade GRC, number of voters in Marine Parade Division who voted for GCT, the number of voters in Macpherson Division who voted for TPL so that people will be able to know the exact support for each MP in the GRC team. As reported in the Straits Times today (Page 10 Home), in the last election 2006, the exact support for each MP in the Aljunied GRC can vary quite significantly in some precincts below 50%, 51%, 52% and more than 60% and the overall is 56.1%. Surprisingly, it is the heavyweight minister that scored on the low end.

  Yup yup, like the report mentioned, the malays are strong supporters of the PAP, hence for aljunied's case, the demographics of bedok, and eunos are more than sufficient to neutralise the hougang serangoon areas. Reasons for the close call in 2006 election. And since the boundary has now been redrawn to put in kaki bukit, the WP really has an uphill struggle.

  It really depends... MM Lee's Words in Hard Truths does have some impact on Malays swinging their votes to the opposition this time round.
