The good one are either retired or dead.
The old man have over-stayed for his own good and for Singapore.
He should have retired long time ago.
But, to consolidate his power, he have grown a lot of yes-men and caused a huge burden on the people with their nonsense salary.
The new and present bunch are there for their benefit.
Just see their rally speech and they are painfully lousy with their speech.
The content are so emply and unconvincing that they have a hard time delivering it.
Cos they are the masters for last ten years.
They have difficulties being humble for two weeks.
They still think they deserved to be voted in due to their elitism and NOT because they want to serve the country.

As a MP, he is considered doing very well. A sincere MP, he delivered what he promised. I have respect for him in his capacity as a MP but not health minister. -

I am sorry about not being able to tell you in public this is inside info which I got which involve doctors in the public hospitals. The only thing I can say is it is about money. -

Yes, certain things are not made known to the public and I hope I can tell more and more of what is not known to public but it is beyond what I can do. Many times things are not what we see it to be. Much dirty work is involved. Money and power are the motivating factors for such to happen. -
khaw's presence is actually an obstacle to pressing healthcare reforms. He talks about the 3Ms: Medishield, Medifund and Medisave in which no sgporean will ever fall through the safety nets provided.
Then why is it that Tan Howe Liang, our olympic silver medallist actually had to pay $100,000 of medical bills for some health problem? Why do some people go bankrupt having to pay medical bills? Why some people stay C class wards have to pay the sky? His means testing implementation meant that the middle and lower class have to pay more for their stays in B and C class wards.
And his recent claim of the $8 bypass....if he has the balls, then declare to the public how much subsidy he's received because he's a cabinet minister and the insurance that he has that allowed him to pay a meagre $8. Nobody in Singapore pays $8 for a bypass unless he's very well insured.

And....why do we have so many docs from myanmar and india these days? Just look at the polyclinics. If we have such a shortage of docs.....then why wasn't the intake for medical school increased in tremendous doses 10 years back? Arent these jobs something which Singaporeans can do?
Walk around the hospitals and you see many filipinos working as professional medical staff. Arent these jobs something which many unemployed singaporeans can do?
And khaw, in the thought of being kind, suggested that the old can go JB for healthcare needs. That's like Obama telling the Americans that they can go to Mexico for healthcare. He should relook his 3Ms thing, relook how the Medishield can be further restructured to lessen the burden of heavy medical bills on the middle and lower classes.

There is a claim limit for the Medishield plan ie the plan will pay up to $200,000 ONLY for the medical bill and once the person has claimed the $200,000, he is out of the Medishield plan. There is also a maximum claim of $50,000 per year limit.

All will grow arrognant after a while. Ministers are paid 3 millions a year. That's about $10000 a day not counting weekends and public holiday.
