KJ has been putting up a brave front since the exodus of the cream group. Though with 80 or 100 members, there are no more outstanding "A" quality candidate in the party.
He should not have borrowed candidates from other parties to contest for West Coast GRC for the sake of participating in the coming election.
Instead, he should have "bite the bullet" (as in the case of the Socialist Front Party chooses to sit out this coming election due to lack of outstanding candidates) and stop participating in the coming election and concentrate to build up reform party for the next election.
Current RP members might be very disappointed if RP decides to sit out the current election but it is for the good of the future of RP.
KJ should learn from the WP secretary general LTK and work hard to build up RP first before it goes for election. Just look at fruits of LTK now and how strong is the WP now.
I think RP should contest there. West coast is a tough constituency, and if other parties are not keen on it, RP can go ahead. It gives citizens a chance to vote and allows us to find out just how tough it is. Ideally every constituency should have a contest.
As long as they don't lose their election deposits, no harm is done to RP.
