If that is true, then he already make himself in a unfavourable position for the voters. -
But it is good to hv a healthy debate to sort things out, and also be clear and objective, it will give peoples a better understanding of knowing the reason behind high cost and lack of houses, it will not be a long debate, just give a 2 hrs on shows debate, no wrong, no right, let the people decided and make their own decision, and the fact that if the horse, Mah, can give a good debate, he might get higher votes. It is a chance not to be miss, a chance for him to express his decision and his policy on housing. Given years of experiences in housing issues, he should hv no problem debating with someone who is new and never get involve in housing of singapore. Unless he is those go office see gals, drink coffee, play golf and go spa type, then i got nothing to comment

Apparently I am too daft to know when something is expensive and need to let some dude who earns millions a year telling me that something I need 30 years to pay off is affordable.

for that, public housing policy has FAILED!
I dun care about private property, investors can rally the price as much as they want, but sporean should have access to "affordable" housing to LIVE in. Now, "affordable" does not mean bending over your back on 30-yrs loan... if so, almost everything is affordable, why dun u take 30yr loan for ur car? affordable right? point is, it is a necessity not an luxury item that sporean needs.

One of my aunty told me, last time, abt 30 years ago, her family was very poor, her husband, my late uncle only earns $450 per month, but her family can afford to buy HDB big 4 rooms flat for 11k only. Now her daughter, earning $4000 per mth can hardly buy a 4 rooms flat with installment, not only that, she still on waiting list, after 3 years, her paid and her husband paid went up to above $8000, then HDB told them, they are not eligible to apply for HDB or get all those co payments. My goodness, they are so fed up with MBT policies, when salaries were low, they applied until salaries went about the ceiling, then tell pple no eligble any more.
I can only find one word to describe MBT and his HDB think tankers. SHIT!
