US - Democratic and republican.
Malaysia - PKR and UMNO
Australia - Conservative and republican
Taiwan - DPP and KMT
To me i feel must be balanced. I only feel singapore is just like China.

In parliament, everything is read thru the script. Even if we have for eg 10 opposition members, so what? They still need to submit their questions and will be audited and a given set of answers to the paps to read out. Correct me if I am wrong.

When you lived in those countries you mentioned, then you know what is balanced, then you realised how wonderful singapore actually is.

Not really, going as a singaporean or as a tourist in taiwan, you do not really understand the taiwanese society, in fact, it is much less peaceful than Singapore, you go China on top, big time gangsters, corrupted politicians and also a big eat small fish kind of society. But one thing good is that, people are more easy going, less foreigner, less barriers and red tapes, people who can forgive and forget, and a very cohesive family society

HDB belong to govt of singapore not PAP. If opposition win the parliament, oppositon control the HDB. must be able to distinguish the differences.
ideally the best possible scenerio is 60% vs 40%.

HDB will take the cue from the government of the day.
Pandering to the people and creating too many exceptions to the rule will generate chaos, and more frustrations and abuses.
Whatever party that takes over the governance of Singapore, will look back at how the PAP do things, and follow suit.

I actually like the WParty round this time but just now on NEWS saw one Taiwanese guy joining into WP and that make me decide very fast. I do not want any Taiwan people to poke their nose into my country's affairs. Not SDP Dr Chee , not WP whoever newcomer from Taiwan.

Taiwan is less peaceful cos got mafia groups plenty there. Taiwan people are cunning , sell their souls for money and say one thing but do another thing.
They suck up to USA and think everything USA is good. However, they are narrow minded and very petty and not open to other cultures ( to malay, to india, to non-chinese stuff).
China people are more straightforward and honest than Taiwanese , IMHO.
I like to hear opposition voices in my Country's Parliament but not anybody from Taiwan.
What's with these Taiwanese trying to meddle with Singapore's Politics? They don't have better things to do , is it ? Why don't they join their Taiwan Parties and negotiate with China for an independant Taiwan instead of wanting to have a say in Singapore's political scenes?
Chen Show Mao served NS and did his entire education in Singapore. It doesn't matter where he was born. He is SINGAPOREAN.
Unlike the PAP's Janil Puthucheary who only became Singaporean 2 years ago and who did not serve NS and resisted calls for him to serve reservist as an MO.
Instad he claims that he is "saving babies" for last 10 years therefore its equal to NS.

Singaporeans are open to other cultures and willing to try the food and even wear the culture national costumes but when there are way over too many pinoys, china nationals , india nationals taking over their jobs, that is a totally different issue altogether. It's living hood problem here now.
I believe even China and India and Philippines would not want so many Singaporeans flooding their countries and snatching jobs away from their natives.
You look at Chen Shui Bian, he can even cheat his own countrymen as a president. Taiwanese have no shame and talk "morals" for show only. Why are the Taiwanese interested in Singapore politics? What's that to do with or affect Taiwan in any way. They are interested in our National Reserve, is it ?

Both are then not qualified to represent Singaporeans. Chen Show Mao abandoned Singapore for a better life overseas for the past 30 years. He is doing it for fame. He is also not close to the heartland people , how can he understand the problems of the average Singaporeans.

Are you sure you are a Singaporean? You compare Singaporeans with the Chinese Nationals andTaiwanese and conclude that we have manners. Just becuse we are more honest and transparent does not mean we have more maners. Just because others are worse, does not mean we are better.
The Thais and the Malaysians the Filipinos are not as honest and transparent as us, but they are certainly more polite and mannered than us.
